Guest guest
I found a solution to the blocked nasal passage problem I was having. Holding my breath wasn't working at all <g> ... but I heard about neti pots and I found one for a reasonable price at a local drug store tonight ... I thought it was a hideous idea to fill my nose with salt water but it had a money-back guarantee so I figured what have I got to lose? I have a cold right now and after using the neti pot I can actually breathe! Through both nostrils! The positive effect lasted for a couple hours (I'm looking forward to seeing how it works when I don't have a cold!). It's not as difficult as it may look to use, either. It's not the world's most edifying sensation at first <g> ... but it's worth it to be able to breathe properly. And without chemicals or drugs ... I wish I'd found it sooner. It's supposed to be good for a whole range of sinus-related problems and allergies. I'm hoping that it will make a difference there too. Anyway, if anyone else finds it hard to do the alternating nasal exercises because of a blocked sinus .... try a neti pot. There are lots of neti pots available online. This one isn't the spiffiest looking but it was cheap: http://www.unimedprod.com/ - I see they are selling them in Wal*Mart and Rite*Aid now. Here in Canada I got mine at Shopper's Drug Mart. Guest guest
Brandi, I swear by neti pots! If your already blocked it doesn't work but as long as you can breath mostly through both sides it will wash out lots of goo! It will stop a cold or allergy before it gets a hold. You found a treasure for your medicine cabinet! Hugs, Valarie

That's a first in almost 20 years. I am having problems with a blockage that I can't seem to clear today, but I think that's just where the cold is at. In one day I am breathing better, even with a cold. I am definitely in the neti pot fan club. Brandi
