Its the parents relying on the medical establishment that need to be

helped Katherine. He is not in charge they are. But they have given up

their responsibility in lieu of the established medical practices.

 

They hope the MD's can help and are perhaps blinded by this trust to

the point of harming the child. Their fear has allowed them to come to

this point and perhaps a breather is called for.
