Guest guest
My dream this morning got me stressed. I was in my bathroom when I saw there was a plastic bag full of spiders and their spider eggs. I gently tied the bag up and tried to carry it away, then I saw my bathtub base fell down, all these other bugs started to come out!! There were several spiders, with some beetles, and a scorpion. The bugs crawled under the bathroom door and headed into my son's room. I chased after it, and smashed the scorpion with one of his toys. I guess I'm not expressing my love very well, especially in this dream. Perhaps I need to work on surrender, that or I don't like those nasty critters. hehehe lisa
Guest guest
Hi ya Lisa! Its eerily quiet around here, the only thing I know is that so many people have had the spider dreams. I think if you put it in the search box you'll find quite a few. It obviously has something to do with K, but I don't know what. Sorry I'm no help but you should give yourself some credit here. You grabbed a bag full of spiders and eggs to carry them away! Dream or no dream, most probably would have woke up as soon as they saw all those little critters! Then you still didnt wake up out of stress finding them in your bathtub, and following them into your sons room! Ha A mothers love...know a little bit about this! Anyway while I'm not sure what you should have done....I still say well done, for obviously not freaking out completely and seeing through the dream! I know I've had to work on knowing my children have their own guidance and that I don't have to be so overprotective. This is coming from someone that would never leave them with a babysitter...yeah a bit overprotective. I use to get some nightmares about having to protect my kids all the time! I must say its better now cuz I've worked on it. Not to mention they are teenagers so I've had time to work on this issue! (although this is usually the time to start getting into trouble!HA) I however am interested to know, just what is up with the spider dreams? I understand the snake dreams....but whats the spider dreams mean? Guess we'll have to hang tight for someone to answer. I'm laughing as I imagine you walking into the bathroom and grabbing a bag full of spiders and eggs! (: Heres wishing you a room full of butterflies tonight! Guest guest
From my own mystical practices what I have found I would agree with. I don't think being part Cherokee has anything to do with it but the spider as I have found it is a very important creature in dreams and the story of life. http://www.sayahda.com/cycle.htm Mother nature, our provider, is going through a cycle of change. Humanity, her caretakers, are experiencing the effects of that change. As disruption occurs a ceremony begins. The primary source of a person's ill health is not in the body. It is due to a fundamental imbalance in the spirit. Mother nature, our mirror, is inviting us to step inside the circle and experience the ceremonial dance of reunion. The choice is yours. When I was a child my father, a Cherokee Indian, often took me into the woods so I could discover the many little sounds of life awakening. This gift from my father opened my heart to the birds, plants, rocks and animals, which have become my allies. Sharing simple pleasures is a part of the Indian way. I would now like to share a small gift with you. Each day upon arising step into nature, physically or mentally. The first thing you see, become it. Take on its characteristics for a few moments. Breathe into it and allow it to become a part of you. In this way a deeper insight about yourself is gained, as you discover the heartbeat of life awakening. The Spider Many stories exist about the weaver, Grandmother spider. She carried on her back the gift of fire in a basket that she wove and presented it to the people. In another story it is said that her web bound all things together and formed the foundation of earth.. These legends give the spider a link to the past and the future, birth and creation. When the spider crawls into our awareness it is asking us to rebuild the web of our life in accordance with the design the creator gave us. Spiders differ from insects in having eight legs rather than six and in having the body divided into two parts rather than three. The number eight laid on its side is the symbol for infinity. The number two implies the union of two forces joined together. Together they equal ten. Drop the zero and you are back to the starting point of one. The hidden message of spider is unity. The study of numerology is beneficial for those who hold this medicine. The construction of a web is linked to the geometry of creation. In the construction of an orb web the spider releases a sticky silken thread into the wind. If the breeze carries the thread to a spot where it sticks the first bridge is formed. Spider cautiously crosses the line reinforcing it with a second. This process continues until a frame is constructed in which the web can secure itself. Bridges serve as a link tying all things together and remind us of our interconnectedness to all life. The spider shows us that the past, the present and the future are all interwoven. It awakens our intuitive creative senses and encourages us to design the fabric of our lives from our souls original intention. If you see a spider in its web, or creating a new one, pay attention. It symbolizes where you are in the weaving of your own destiny. A study of the medicine wheel and the four directions is helpful. Because spiders are actually very delicate they embody the energy of gentleness. Spiders are not usually aggressive unless they are defending their lives. Moving forward in all situations with a gentle strength is a skill that often needs to be learned for those with this totem. In man, the bite of a poisonous spider symbolizes a death, rebirth process. Poison enters the nervous system and the body either transmutes it or falls victim to its venom and dies. The spider signifies the tapestry of life. The web we weave is the reality we experience. Choosing the appropriate path is one of the lessons associated with this medicine. Guest guest
THank you Ben for this. I learned much! I'm sure Lisa will appreciate it and it now makes so much sense to me why so many here have had the spider dreams. Many thanks! Deb
Guest guest
What great information! I can agree with this and find a calming awareness with this knowledge. My son, woke me up the same day of this dream and said he had a nightmare. He dreamt that these little animals with sharp teeth wanted to eat him, and they surrounded his bed. It's if the dream continued in his mind. I told him not to worry, perhaps the creatures were just smiling at him and not snarling. thanks Ben Lisa ---- ben_hangen <ben_hangen wrote: > From my own mystical practices what I have found I would agree with. Guest guest
As I have learned... when spiders start entering into my life, I am mindful of the web of life. I stop and take a look around me and see if I am living in accordance with the natural flow or not OR I'm looking to see if I'm repeating a pattern in my life that maybe wasn't as beneficial as it could be. (eg. getting stuck in the web) As far as the scorprion goes, the symbolism I found on that quite a while ago was that someone was wishing ill will on you, which seems a bit doomsday. I dunno, I've been stung by a scorpion. But the first part about spiders is pretty solid, in my opinion. Love , Leshya <pleiades69 wrote: > > My dream this morning got me stressed. Guest guest
Not happy about the scorpion theory, but perhaps " illness " may be true. I am repeating the same patterns that need to be changed, that I know. thanks Bethany ---- Bethany <bethany_abear wrote: > As I have learned... when spiders start entering into my life, I am > mindful of the web of life. Guest guest
Haha, neither was I. But that's all I could find on them at the time of my encounter with one. I think scorpions are widely misunderstood. When I had my encounter with one, though, I was in the middle of a major emotional and physical healing/upheaval. It could just represent your inner self clearing your body. You attacking yourself or something or brining awareness that you're harboring something inside your body or emotional body that needs to leave? Or since it was headed for your child, protecting your child from something along those lines? *shrug* Love , <pleiades69 wrote: > > Not happy about the scorpion theory, but perhaps " illness " may be true. > I am repeating the same patterns that need to be changed, that I know. > thanks Bethany > > ---- Bethany <bethany_abear wrote: > > As I have learned... when spiders start entering into my life, I am > > mindful of the web of life. Guest guest
That makes sense, protecting myself and my son from his semi-abusive father. (half the time he's decent with him and the other he's a mean * & & %^). Anyways.... I pity my future ex and am continually trying to accept that he is not at the level I am and needs to move at his own pace. I would just rather he do his 'growing' elsewhere ;-) Thank you Bethany for your help on this. lisa ---- Bethany <bethany_abear wrote: > Haha, neither was I.
