Guest guest
I just had a discussion with my hubby, and have come up with a theory I'd like to run by you all. I tried out some qi gong yesterday, and had fairly intense sensations--lots of light--especially when I drew energy through my feet, which I had never done before. In fact, it was quite amazing. My hubby says it's impossible that somebody who's completely new to a technique can conjure a lot of light at the first try. My take, instead, is that when you try a new technique, you are opening new pathways for the energy. The light etc. is a result of the clearing--a bit like lighting a match with a massive blob of sulfur on its tip. It burns longer and makes more smoke than a regular match. Once all the dross/sulfur is burnt, the energy circulation becomes smooth and the fireworks vanish. Hence: more light doesn't necessarily mean more juice. It just means more dross burning (which is good, of course). This makes me think that, rather than aiming for the fireworks, one should strive for what comes after the flashy stage is over. Of course, this is ancient wisdom--but a lot of the ancient wisdom things we hear and read all over the place don't register with us at all, don't they? I am just beginning to think that this makes experiential sense, too. Sel (former phenomena junkie)
Guest guest
Hi Selena, That makes sense to me, I've noticed that whenever the K gets to a new stage in me its initially very intense and then settles to a more stable level. Seems like it smooths out until its incorporated into everyday life (For me anyway). Although its not as much fun for me after the initial fizz, at least i am able to function in the world a bit better, my main problem being interacting with others who arent able to understand what is happening. Guest guest
I agree with you Ana.When my Kundalini awakened I didn't know what hit me and the incessant crying and the energy coursing through my body was very wild and unmanageable. Now,after almost 2 years is more smooth, more stable and more predictable. The head splitting headaches are gone and life seems more acceptable.I kind of miss those wild energy surges but those energy surges can play havoc on your endocrine system ,especially your andrenals so be careful.I was hypothyroid and took medication for it to begin with and all those 24/7 andrenalin rushes burned out my andrenals.I know because I feel so tired in the morning and have no energy but I have more energy at night before I go to sleep, which is not how it should be.Take care Ann. Guest guest
Thanks for that Nicole, I definitely need to be mindful of my adrenals! I have been almost maniacal in my energy surges lately. I can get so many things done that its tempting to want to have things like that all the time. Its very hard when you're like that to quieten down and meditate or relax to temper the energy and stay in touch with the kundalini. Its scary because these energy surges are punctuated by lethargy (I dont want CFS!). I've been directed to take a homeopathic remedy now which is supportive of the thyroid and I carry certain stones for their balancing properties. What a wild ride though, especially since the shaktipat.
