Hi Peter, John here - in my case, and I'm probably older than you,

recapitulation has meant revisiting events that had a big emotional

impact on my life, mainly those where I was hurt or caused hurt. I

replay the event or relationship slowly, seeing the other person's

interpretation, examining in some depth how things escalated and why

the hurt and provocation got out of control, any number of causes, bad

communication, immaturity, thoughtless come-back comments and so-on.

I look at how that mishap had a character shaping influence on me from

that point on and perhaps created blockages in my spontaneity and loss

of trust. Once (sometimes literally) painstakingly identified and

robbed of their heat and drama, these events and relationships lose

their grip and the horizons for personal growth widen as does the

pathway for the progression of Shakti. is so right, it is a

process of forgiveness and self-forgiveness on a massive scale.

Thanks Chrism,

Is this something we visualize, or is it something we actually do? Or

both?

Hi John,

Thank you for your kind response. I think I can begin now. You're

right there is so much we get caught up in and only being honest with

ourselves and others will let it out. Daunting.
