Guest guest
I just have a question about Highest Yoga Tantra initiations: Are they designed to awaken the participants Kundalini? In other words, are these ceremonies Shaktipats? I was just wondering.... -Alice

Guest guest
I guess I wasn't exactly clear. I am talking about Tibetan Buddhist Tantra initiations like for Kalachakra and Chenresig. I have been to both as an observer and the energy rolling off the altar just hit me in waves. After sitting with it awhile, one's head feels like it is going to explode. The energy at Kalachakra was bigger but so was the room and there were 5000 people so it got diffused. I remember at one point thinking that it seemed like the monks were somehow altering the space-time continuum. Sounds like Star-trek, I know, but that is what it appeared like to me. The Chenresig initiation I attended was in a small room with a few people and phew, you just couldn't get away from the energy. We all had bad headaches afterward. I never knew what was causing all these feelings but now that I have been reading on this group and identifying my own Kundalini symptoms for what they really are, I realized that these events must have been activating my K energy. So I wondered, is that the whole point of the iniations? Are they essentially Shaktipats? Does anyone know? No one has ever been explicit about what these Tantra ceremonies are about, at least not to me anyway. I know some of the basics of it but I have never heard anyone talk about the energy at these events and what that is all about. It's all hush-hush or something. So if anyone has any insight, I would be glad to hear it. -alice , " mikael " <mixolyd wrote: > what ceremonies and initiations are you talking about? >
Guest guest
Yes Alice these can have the effect of activating or awakening the Kundalini. - , " Alice Sackman " <vista.records wrote: > > I guess I wasn't exactly clear. > I am talking about Tibetan Buddhist Tantra initiations like for > Kalachakra and Chenresig.
