Guest guest
Hey all. Feel free to share some of your most recent. I thought I would share this funny synchronicity I had. This story starts several months ago. My son (Dante), my mom, and I stopped at a Wendy's to eat off of a highway. We got our meals (my son got a kids meal), we ate them, and threw out our garbage. My son started to cry and when I ask him what was wrong, he said that he threw out his toy that came with his meal. We weren't going to dig through the garbage for his toy so I told him that it was " a lesson of nonattachment " . He took the loss well and we went on the highway to go home. Just one week ago (Monday), Dante, Mom, and I all stopped into the same Wendy's to eat. We got our meals, ate there, and then went on the highway home. On the way home I realized that I threw out my cell phone! My mother was driving and I told her to turn around right away, but she couldn't because there was a traffic jam. We were stuck on the highway for about 15 minutes before leaving onto the next exit to turn around. When we got there, I rushed over to the garbage where I threw it out; the staff already changed the garbage. I asked the staff where they threw the garbage because, I didn't care; I was going to search in there for my phone! They told me it was too late and that that garage bag already got thrown into the compressor and that if I was there 15 minutes earlier than I would have been able to get my phone. I was frustrated and a bit upset. All of my numbers and saved text messages were gone. I got into the car and we went on our way back on the highway home. Of course, the traffic jam that was there not so long ago was gone and right then and there I just couldn't help but ask myself out loud in the car, " what kind of lesson is this? " lol, then my son starts empathizing, by reminding me of the time he threw out his toy in the garbage at the same place. Suddenly, any pain that I had over my loss of my cell phone disappeared and I just started laughing really hard because it was " a lesson of nonattachment " . I don't know, I guess the synchronicity hit me hard enough to actually lose a lot of attachments that week, besides my cell phone. It's amzing how the universe is organized. Guest guest
In the moment your sons toy and your cellphone probably had the same value, as to a child a toy is everything, and to an adult a phone is everything..... PERFECT. God has a great sense of humour and poetic justice. Don't dish out the phillosophical lessons of life unless you can take them with grace also! I think you did well....LOL GREAT STORY Love Elektra x x x ________ Sent from Mail. A Smarter Email http://uk.docs./nowyoucan.html
