This is a cross posting from the OBE group.

http://tech.OBE_Newsletter/

Many people with active Kundalini will not be experiencing the OBE

states as the body is being transformed and the transformation has

an anchoring effect of the soul body to the earth body often on the

Kundalini active individual. This isnt a permanent condition so no

worries if you have been active with the OBEs and now find yourself

somewhat grounded. The changes need to be made first before you out

of body with an active Kundalini signature.

This is a post of some slow motion OBE experiences I had back in

1987 and 88. While living in the Yosemite Valley in the California

Sierra moiuntains. - blessings all - chrism

***************************************************************

Some people who are drawn to interests such as the OBE already hear

certain high pitched frequencies in their daily awake life. I know I

do and have for many years. Sometimes the frequencies can be so loud

and annoying as to come under the diagnosis of tinnitus. An

uncontrolled and un-sourcable quality of loud sounds coming into the

hearing centers of the brain. Sometimes as loud as a passing

locomotive or a jet aircraft taking off. This isn't about tinnitus

though.

It is about the very high pitched frequencies sometimes changing

sometimes unchanging. Extremely high sounds that can be heard if one

stills the conscious self enough to listen. The frequencies are

always there for me and I consciously send out my own frequencies to

harmonize with them. I go up a third over them for a nice blend.-lol

Sometimes when I have OBEd in slow motion, like some here will do

i.e. when I have lifted out of the body slowly and one section of

the body at a time I have heard these frequencies become extremely

loud and increased in volume. I hear multiple frequencies and they

almost become as a scream of sound at different pitches all at once

as I continue to lift out or roll out per Robert Monroe's

techniques. Typically when going from a sleep paralyzed position

into the OBE following the vibrations. This would occur for me back

in 1987 pre Kundalini.

This force of sound I feel is the change in the position not of the

source of the sound but of the person sensing it. As we exit the

body and inhabit for a time both physical and the external or astral

body we are quickly thrust into areas of densities that are similar

and yet far different than what we know to be as high or low or

thick or thin at the same time, and even though we carry familiar

concepts with us and sculpt our experiences with in them it doesn't

change the dynamics of the densities that are there merely our

interactions and perceptions within them. Nothing is wrong and no

damage is being done. It is to me the equivalent of the sound of a

lock being turned by a key or the hinges of a door being heard to

move. My opinion of it anyway.

The first time I heard this it scared me badly as I was rolling out

of my body towards the left I could literally hear what felt like

the fabric of sound tearing and screaming out its pain at my

incursion. In my fear I snapped back into the body with no apparent

damage done. I learned from this and other similar experiences that

when we leave the body sometimes our physical senses will pick up

and process phenomena that is and isn't of the physical at the same

time. As the consciousness is in the body and outside of it at the

same time a blending of stimulus can be experienced. Like when one

sits up in the body while the rest of the body is still reclined.

Much depends on where the consciousness is predisposed to experience

and everyone is unique in that area. This could be a slow motion

version of the " Whoosh " or the " thunderclap " or the " pops " and many

of the other " sudden " sounds one experiences at the point of

separation. When the consciousness leaves quickly these sounds and

the dynamics of them can pass so fast as to barely be noticed as the

person can exit the physical and causal bodies so rapidly as to

exclude or diminish them. Or their own guidance is helping to dampen

these phenomena.

These are merely my experiences and conclusions and no attempt to

explain anybody else's experiences with it is being given. Just some

thoughts on some slow OBE separations I have had and the phenomena

associated with them. -

That is so interesting. I've been interested in OBEs for years but have never

been aware of having one. But I HAVE had the sudden sound of a gale-force wind

or a bomb-blast rock me out of sleep into wide, heart-pounding awakeness sitting

bolt upright in my bed! And nothing, not even my lightly snoring husband next to

me seemed disturbed by anything, so it wasn't exterior. If that was the sound of

tearing coming the other way, back into a body, then that makes me think I do go

OBE but have no memory of it. Is that even possible? Now, I have the most vivid,

detailed dreams I've ever heard of. Not usually lucid, though. But that seems a

totally different thing to me. I have been dipping into William Buhlman's book

" Adventures Out of Body " for a year now but I really can't say I've had anything

like what he describes. I'd really love to experience it but have a feeling I'm

just not adept enough to handle it yet.

And as for high pitched sounds, yes, I have those in waking times as well,

always as a background noise. I never thought of them as tinnitus. But in quiet

times, it will surge louder and is just another thing I can focus on when

meditating, besides breath. It doesn't get in the way of anything. It's powering

up right now, actually. LOL When it does that it just fills my ears and head!

Very interesting! I like hearing about this topic. One day, maybe I'll get to

experience it, too.

Love,

Valarie

hI chrism & all,

don't know if you remember. i posted my first post a couple weeks ago.

this post really got to me. in the last few months maybe even since i got my

husband (chaos) out of my house, i have been hearing the energy sound inside

myself. i hear it right now. i hear it most of the time unless i am very focused

on something then it comes right back. ive wondered why i can hear it now and

what it was. the only way i can describe it is....you know if you turn on the tv

to a channel that doesn't have a station on it the snow that shows up and the

sound it produces. its like that except high pitch. it goes up and down in

loudness. i guess if it got any louder than it has it could be annoying. i do

zone in on it while meditating. i heard a sound slightly different but much

louder and more outside my self while i was at the beach one day recently. no

one else seemed to notice it. when i was pregnant about 22yrs ago i remember

hearing a sound a lot that sounded like denim material rubbing together.

i have wondered about something that happened to me when i was 16 (and some

things that are happening now). i was lying in bed on my side with my hands

under my pillow. i felt sure i was awake but was paralyzed. i could not move no

matter how hard i tried. i had the tv snow sound very loud and i could actually

feel it all over my body. im not sure how long this lasted but it felt like for

ever. i was scared to death and finally bolted out of it. i was so scared i

turned on all the lights and didn't sleep well for a while. i even borrowed a

rosary from my cousin to sleep with.

this is embarrassing to talk about but im going to any way. i did sleep walk as

a child but i don't think that is what is happening to me now. probably about 10

times over the last year and a half i have gotten up maybe an hour or two after

falling asleep. i get up and eat something and go back to bed. its as if im

asleep but i have vague memories of it. i wake up in the morning surprised to

find evidence of my being in the kitchen. then have the vague memorie of it. the

doc i went to doesn't seem to think its sleep walking because of the memories of

it. just curious of anyone's thought on these things. also about five times over

the last 6 months i hear my husband or son call my name loudly and wake to find

no one there.

thanks for your thoughts

i appreciate everyone participation & experiences on this list

Hi, Debra (my mom's name. :-). Hmm. I to have experienced this paralysis

before. I'm not sure if anyone else has. My take on it is that it's a different

level of consciousness outside that of the physical body. It took me 20minutes

to just rock myself (still couldn't move my limbs). I actually had to rock off

of my bed and hit the floor to regain consciousness of my extremeties.

Hi Debby! I'm sure you will get other answers, but I would like to

make a few comments. What you experienced at 16 sounds a lot like

sleep paralysis to me and you might have been experiencing pre OOB

(out of body) symptoms. Claudia is our OBE expert, so I'm sure she

will have come comments for you.

I too have heard loud noises at times that nobody else hears.

Sometimes a door slamming, a gunshot or the " static " sound.

Here is a link to an article about Hypnagogia on Wikipedia. I think

Hi Debra,

@@@ i was so scared i turned on all the lights and didn't sleep well

for a while. i even borrowed a rosary from my cousin to sleep with.@@@

Back in the late 70's, early 80's I use to wake up with what felt

like my bed was moving and it scared me so bad I slept with one of

those large family bible laid across my chest. It was the only bible

I had at the times. I didn't know what was happening then, but now I

know it was only the viberations one gets when they leave their body

at night. :)

My youngest sister used to sleep walk a lot, but I don't know if she

ever had any momeries while doing it. Just a guess, but eating

something while one is asleep, could cause you to become aware just

enough to have some vague memories of it. Just my opinion. Sometimes

my sister would do something that would cause her to wake up, so I

would think it would be possible become aware enough to have memories.

This is called sleep paralysis, which is something that happens

naturally everynight when your physical body falls asleep. It is a

process that keeps the physical body from acting out whatever you

happen to be dreaming. When you physically act out something in your

sleep there is a malfunction with this process, such as sleep walking.

My hubby has had a malfunction with this several times where he has

hit the bed with his fist, hard. I don't know who or what he was

fighting, but I am glad he missed me. LOL!

Hi Linda.

I agree that it is paralysis. I'm sure there are varying degrees of

consciousness. I am just happy I could rock; otherwise, I may be typing this

from that very bed now! Jk....lol

naturally everynight when your physical body falls asleep. It is a

process that keeps the physical body from acting out whatever you

happen to be dreaming. When you physically act out something in your

sleep there is a malfunction with this process, such as sleep walking.

My hubby has had a malfunction with this several times where he has

hit the bed with his fist, hard. I don't know who or what he was

fighting, but I am glad he missed me. LOL!

paralysis before. I'm not sure if anyone else has. My take on it is

that it's a different level of consciousness outside that of the

physical body. It took me 20minutes to just rock myself (still

couldn't move my limbs). I actually had to rock off of my bed and hit

the floor to regain consciousness of my extremeties.

since i got my husband (chaos) out of my house, i have been hearing

the energy sound inside myself. i hear it right now. i hear it most

of the time unless i am very focused on something then it comes right

back. ive wondered why i can hear it now and what it was. the only

way i can describe it is....you know if you turn on the tv to a

channel that doesn't have a station on it the snow that shows up and

the sound it produces. its like that except high pitch. it goes up

and down in loudness. i guess if it got any louder than it has it

could be annoying. i do zone in on it while meditating. i heard a

sound slightly different but much louder and more outside my self

while i was at the beach one day recently. no one else seemed to

notice it. when i was pregnant about 22yrs ago i remember hearing a

sound a lot that sounded like denim material rubbing together.

(and some things that are happening now). i was lying in bed on my

side with my hands under my pillow. i felt sure i was awake but was

paralyzed. i could not move no matter how hard i tried. i had the tv

snow sound very loud and i could actually feel it all over my body.

im not sure how long this lasted but it felt like for ever. i was

scared to death and finally bolted out of it. i was so scared i

turned on all the lights and didn't sleep well for a while. i even

borrowed a rosary from my cousin to sleep with.

sleep walk as a child but i don't think that is what is happening to

me now. probably about 10 times over the last year and a half i have

gotten up maybe an hour or two after falling asleep. i get up and eat

something and go back to bed. its as if im asleep but i have vague

memories of it. i wake up in the morning surprised to find evidence

of my being in the kitchen. then have the vague memorie of it. the

doc i went to doesn't seem to think its sleep walking because of the

memories of it. just curious of anyone's thought on these things.

also about five times over the last 6 months i hear my husband or son

call my name loudly and wake to find no one there.
