Guest guest
sorry about the long read. Yes, I feel that some dreams are messages from the higher self, but I feel that most are actually from the lower self. There is a lot of confusion when it comes to new age and their understanding of the higher self as well as numerous oterh things. To my understanding and from experience I've found that the lower self is our unconscious mind while the higher self is our superconcious mind. The lwoer self seems to be holding all of your past experiences, repressions, all sorts of things that your middle self or conscious ego pushed to the side into the unconscious/lower self. The lower self is also known as your inner child which is very innocent, but as we grow older and go through all sorts of abuse and conditionings this inner child gets scarred and wounded. This inner child is lost and your self gets split into two when you become a teenager or around there, your split into your ego and your unconscious. this inner child sits inside you sleeping in the unconscious waiting for the conscious mind or ego to awaken it so that both the lower self (unconscious) and middle self (ego) could reunite as one again... It's connection is more or less like finding that inner child within you again. To me most of our dreams are the lwoer self attempting to reconnect the unconscious to consciousness or awareness. If you notice in your dreams you will find that a lot of them will be bringing back past issues or things that the conscious mind needs to become aware of. These are all lower self connections and not higher self connections. The higher self in dreams would be bringing in more information that goes beyond the middle self/ego or unconscious. It's intuitive. I really feel that to even gain information from your higher self, you must have a better connection with the lower self first. You're gonig to have to face all sorts of repressions, habits, and social conditions that are sitting deep down within your unconscious clouding your perception and keeping you from moving on to anything higher within yourself. How could you have a good connection with your higher self if so many thngs in your lower self have not gotten any attention and are weighing you down? Since the lower self has difficulty in getting your attention while you are awake and conscious, your lower self appears itself in your dreams to grab your attention. Only by gonig through your lower self and making that connection again will you be open to getting messages or more clear messages from your higher self. A lto of people confuse the two selves, people tend to think that their lower self is their higher self, actually your lower self may even play with you like a child getting you to believe that its the higher self. But thats another story to talk about. Really, if you think about it, everything comes in threes, so it just makes sense that we have three selves; the conscious mind, the unconscious mind, and teh superconscious mind. And teh super conscious is next to impossible to connect with without going into your unconscious. So yes, go into your dreams, record your dreams in a journal, and find out what it is that your lower self is trying to tell you. Make some reconnections, clear your perception through understanding your dreams. Eventually you will find your innocence once again and finding this space again will allow the voice of your higher self to be louder to hear its messages. I'll get deeper into dreams later maybe. I have some thigns to do today. I hope you understand. much lvoe, drea ps, oh and i should say that its the kahunas who talk about the three selves. I've read a bit about it, but this was my interpretation of the three selves which I found through my experiences. They arent separate, its illusions that make them appear separate. , " mikael " <mixolyd wrote: > > hello chrism, fellow seekers.. > > on the topic of dreams.. i have been reading about how they are > messages from the higher self. am thinking of beginning a dream > journal to write down my dreams.. but the actual interpretation of > them alludes me.. no clue. > > do you guys record your dreams? do you ever have important messages > comes through? >

Guest guest
Drea, what you say here reminds me of Peter Novak's book " The Division of Consciousness " although his wording is somewhat different from yours with more of a christian slant. Going by Novak's book the whole story of Jesus' life death and resurrection is the example of reuniting ones lower selves (all reincarnated self) to the presence self and as the way to transformed to the higher self (resurrected self). The book goes into to much more than that and gives a great illustration of what takes place. When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below...then you will enter the Kingdom....If [one] is undivided, he shall be filled with light, but if he is divided, he will be filled with darkness.~~~The Gospel of Thomas 22 & 61 The Kingdom of God is a level of consciousness (not a place out there somewhere that you go to when you die) as explained by the the book that Mikael recommended a couple of days ago. " Putting on the Mind of Christ " by Jim Marion. I am reading this book right now and am really getting into it.
