Guest guest
hi chrism, i have been having computer problems the last few days. my laptop is just " randomly freezing " as the computer man put it and also shutting down randomly. he tried but couldn't do anything for me today...he tested the hard drive and also tried to do a recovery thing. luckily it is still under warranty for 8 more days. lol so we will be shipping it off on monday, not sure how long it will be gone. the computer man did give us a great deal on a desk top...only $100 and even threw in a monitor. it is nothing fancy, but it does get me on-line and is not very slow at all. we needed to get one to have as a back up anyway and also one the kids could use. i have added my pics to the albums. i have also been practicing the safeties and doing the tibetans as best i can. recently i have only been able to do them only once a day, but have tried moving it to twice a day recently....the evenings seem to be a bit more difficult. last night while i was doing the tibetans my 4 year old kept crawling underneath me like i was a tunnel or something when i was on the 5th one...for the most part i can block him out during meditation but was only able to get in 10 minutes because he kept running circles around me and bumping into me. if i wait too late to do them i get too wound up and can't get to sleep so i need to do some scheduling adjusting so i can do them twice a day...or should i be doing them more? i have also cut down on the caffeine A LOT! as well as the sugars. my kids aren't happy with me for that...lol all the drinks i make are unsweetened now. i haven't even bought a bag of sugar in months! i keep telling them it is better for them too this way. i do need to watch the sugars in the food i eat though. also, wanted to ask you something regarding meds. i read a lot of the posts that talked about medications but didn't see anything regarding pain medication. i am still having mouth problems. i did post when they started around easter time...well i ended up having to go to the dentist and had 1 side of my mouth worked on...lol they ended up having to take out a couple teeth, but need work done on the other side as well as a root canal...fun stuff anyway, about 5 or 6 weeks ago i ended up dislocating my jaw and had to go to the emergency room. i felt really stupid...lol i yawned and couldn't close my mouth so they ended up having to put me to sleep so they could pull it back into place. i had a follow up with an oral surgeon later that morning and he said he could do all my dental work for me AND put me to sleep...that's kinda what i'm leaning towards. i'm not much for pain and it will actually be A LOT cheaper going that route (as long as insurance will cover it). i need to have a consultation first and then ins. will get back to us and say what they will and will not cover and then i can get the work done...hopefully. anyway, i ask about pain meds. because i know i will be on them after the work is done...i was also on them when i had the last dental work done and also when i dislocated my jaw. currently the side i have not had done yet has been extremely painful the last few days..i'm out of the pain meds, but taking tylenol and motrin. is this ok where the k is related? after all the work they tend to give me vicodin, which i take only when i really need it...is this ok? Guest guest
Hi Brandy - I will let chrism answer about pain meds as related to k; but I will suggest ultram (generic tramadol) as a non-narcotic alternative. It is even used in cancer patients! Hope your oral problems get worked out! Guest guest
ok, chrism...thanks! i called today to make an appt. with the oral surgeon and the earliest they can get me in is for the 19th and that is only a consult nothing more. there is only one other one in the area so i may call them tomorrow to see if they can get me in any earlier. i was hoping to have it all done asap. now it looks like it could be awhile. the pain today hasn't been too terribly bad. i'll keep you updated as i know what is going on. is there anything else i should be doing? blessings brandyk On 5/31/08, chrism <> wrote: > > Brandy its OK. Guest guest
Be as ok with yourself and how you are doing and handling things as you can be Brandy Kelly. None of this comes with a printed manual. You are doing well and even though you are in pain the resolution of that pain is on a fast track. So be good to yourself Brandy. Have the work done when you feel it is best. Shakti will let you know either from dreams or from waking visions during meditation regarding her directions for you. Surrender as best you can to the information given and follow the path as best that you can discern. If you have questions ask this community and you will find that you're traveling companions are more than happy to help you in areas that you may have not foreseen. - blessings Brady Kelly - chrism , " Brandy Kelley " <divarep wrote: > > ok, chrism...thanks! i called today to make an appt.
