Guest guest
Elektra, Love, go back and read that again. They are speaking about Chisms not Chrisms. But you do bring up a point I have been wanting to address. This is not meant to detract from any of you on this list, just some things I have been wondering about. Chrism, how did you come to be known as Chrism? It is very close to Christ, is it not? Why do you not just call yourself Chris M, or Chris Mitchell? And why did that seminar cost $600!?!? And why do you post things such as that your computer broke down, or that your radio was stolen? Pretty convenient how so many of your lovely (mostly female) 'followers' chime in to send you money, how convenient for you. All these shaktipats. I have never gotten anything from any of them, and I would go so far as to venture the people who do are highly suggestible. It all seems pretty calculated to me. And you can say it is because I have grown up with a western mentality all you want, but you have no evidence of that. Is that why we lost Becky? And when you were coming to missouri to meet with me, you spoke to me on the phone, and asked me to lie down and you were gonna send me energy or something and I told you I didn't feel anything. I have often wondered if that was because I have protection from you and you could not suck my energy. So is that the real reason you did not come? If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. And if you all want to jump on me, ask yourselves first if it is a tiny seed of fear you are really reacting to. Carol
Guest guest
Wow. This is really dripping with anger. I have no problem with hard questions being asked, but a little bit of common courtesy is surely in order. I can only speak for me when I say that I would be more likely to listen to what is being said when it is based in love and concern rather than extreme anger and sarcasm. By the end of your message one can tell that you expected to be " jumped on " . I have to wonder if on some level you knew you were being a bit unfair to both Chrism and the rest of the members of this group. For the record, I don't believe that profits whatsoever from this group. If anything, I am sure that he is in the hole. He offers us unconditional support both on group and off. He has taken the time to visit members of this group. His patience seems limitless and there is no denying that he is providing selfless service. I don't consider myself " highly suggestible " whatsoever and yet I have received much from my participation here. I have received a great deal of help and personal attention from and, I assure you, that I have not made any " donations " . If I could though, I would. I think hard questions are good, a constructive conversation is wonderful, I would just like to see a bit more respect given to Chrism and the members of this loving forum. Guest guest
My first reaction when I read this was " ouch! " At 03:46 PM 5/31/2008, you wrote: >And why did that seminar cost $600!?!? I know some people believe that all spiritual teaching should be free. Why they don't also believe legal, medical and psychological advice should not also be free is something that continues to escape me. We put millions into the church collection plate too, precious little of which ends up going to shoe the poor or feed the hungry, we have Rolex-wearing ministers and no one dares condemn them. Why is this so? Why is it we are willing to spend four years and tens of thousands on our left-brained education but we don't want to spend $600 and a weekend for our spiritual education? $600 is nothing. There are classes out there on similar topics for 10 times that much. I know of one guy charging $10,000 ... and getting it. I've put on lectures and seminars, I know what it costs, what the going rates are. He's lucky to make his expenses charging that amount. In fact I would not be shocked if that meant he did it at a loss. If he does make some money at the occasional seminar ... so what? He's entitled to something for his time if people are willing to pay. >And why do you post things such as that your computer broke down, or >that your radio was stolen? I've seen others post their triumphs and misfortunes here, why not him? Why should we begrudge him their compassion? Put it another way ... if it is true that as the Bible says " It is better to give than to receive " then why in heaven's name would anyone want to deny someone else the opportunity to give to someone they have come to love? >All these shaktipats. I have never gotten anything from any of them, What made you assume that it would have universal impact? What makes you think you got nothing from them? Did you follow the safeties? Are you still following them? Have another look at them - were you diligent in following them? If so, how could you possibly say what you have said here? >And when you were coming to missouri to meet with me, you spoke to me on >the phone, and asked me to lie down and you were gonna send me energy or >something and I told you I didn't feel anything. I have often wondered >if that was because I have protection from you and you could not suck my >energy. So is that the real reason you did not come? I've never seen claim to be omniscient or omnipotent. Just a human being trying to pass along what blessings he has. Sometimes, even a good teacher will fail to make a connection through no fault on anyone's part. Simply because it wasn't meant to be. Maybe there is a deeper reason, maybe not. Maybe it was to allow the anger and resentment to come up so you could connect with that? Who else do you feel has let you down? Is that anger and resentment getting in the way of your spiritual growth? Is this really about Chrism? How do you know that this emotion is not exactly what you needed right now - that it came from Shakti (or from within) to clear a space for you to heal it? >If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. From what I've seen to date, these people will try their hardest to be compassionate to you - and they are entitled to respond. I see did that himself with great tolerance and compassion for you. >Carol: Then why didn't the ones of us that really wanted to go to the >seminar get to go? That $2100 + the other funds you receive could have >gotten at least one more person there, more if you had found another >location that was less 'spa like'. I can't afford to go to California to take this class ... and I don't think anyone owes that to me. The free healing and online mentoring being offered here is already generous. I've occasionally been given free entrance to seminars by generous patrons, and I am extremely grateful to that ... but I never felt entitled to it just because I was poor at the time (and I have been about as poor as it gets). Let me ask you ... what do you do for a living? How many more people could you serve if you worked for free? Well, fewer than you do now most likely, because you wouldn't be able to survive long in the real world if you did. Brandi
Guest guest
I've studied the Western Mysteries since sometime in 1974. Starting in 1984 I studied Kabbalah with Builders of the Adytum, a mystery school, through their whole curriculum, which lasts something like 14 or 15 years. During those courses, Kundalini is presented, stimulated, slowly, in something like what the alchemists call " simmering " . I never experienced any strong blast up my spine, etc. but I have had to work out many, many personal issues. One of the things I learned a long time ago is that each chakra has psychological patterns associated with it, patterns that have to be worked out in a process called the Great Work. It is then that Kundalini is safest. For example, when one is angry, isn't some lower chakra stimulated? How about love? Isn't the heart chakra involved? We share all things with other humans, since whatever we may think or believe, all is One. It is this Oneness that makes Chrism's shaktipat possible, being given " through the ethers " so to speak. Patterns exist in a kind of universal subconscious, and, given the right stimulus, all are susceptible to their expression. It is through developing a higher point of view, a paradigm shift if you will, which is based upon at least the assumption of Oneness even if it hasn't been Realized yet, that lower expressions of patterns are let go, and higher expressions of love and understanding develop. Full blown Kundalini expression comes in such a manner, and everything leading up to it, the development of the individual, is part of the work of what might be called the Holy Spirit by some, something else by others. Even though someone doesn't *feel* anything doesn't mean that nothing has happened. Some things must be developed. Thomas _____ On Behalf Of Sarita Wow. This is really dripping with anger.
