Guest guest
Hello Don, My experience with the Kundalini has shown me that it is both sides and single sides for different times of the experience. Both sides for the spinal sweep and then afterward single sides i.e. right or left for certain areas of the infusion. I have had response on both sides for different reasons. So I do not promote an idea that Kundalini is geared towards one side or the other. Itzack Bentov in his book " Stalking the Wild Pendulum " indicates the left side for an upside down horse shoe traverse of the Kundalini in the body. I have experienced it as more of a bottom to top scenario. I feel that as we all bring different life paths and experience Karmic and otherwise into our Kundalini picture that we will have individual experiences based upon those dynamics. Some will be similar though. Left is the feminine side and right is the male side and so it is natural to expect the Kundalini Shakti feminine to start up the left side if you look at it from a linear point of view. I have found that Kundalini isn't all that linear. But some parts are. When the Shakti unites with the Shiva at the crown this is when the two sides unite. So at that point it is moot as to which side expresses Kundalini first. This is what is aimed for here. A balance of the lower and the higher and the right and the left. The Middle path so to say. Cold is attributed to the left side and heat to the right side. Also symbolized by the Moon for the left and the Sun for the right. This polarity goes on and on in its symbolic examples. I would suggest that you do a balanced practice. Both sides and equal time on both sides. I would suggest that you honor the feminine with in you as well as the male with in you. I expect you are doing so without needing to target an intention. Regarding the grounding. Depends on what you mean by that term. Does " grounding " mean to you that you are in the mindset of having expectations that are mostly supported by science? Or is there an expectation of abrupt physicality to what you may experience with the Kundalini? Does " grounded " mean that you are in touch with your emotions and freely express them or that you stifle them? I get more of a " naturalness " from what you write of your living choices. I see the simplicity and the harmony and the open quality of your life. I feel your experience from and through your words. I feel that from this quality of naturalness that you are indeed being prepared for the Kundalini. Plus the fact that you are here and that you are combing through what is offered on the internet in regards to Kundalini. No accident that this is happening and probably much more than mere curiosity. The natural way that you live is conducive to the development of the Kundalini. What cannot be replaced is the practice for that event. The conditioning that will allow for the Kundalini to come and then be held by your bodies. A full awakening Don. Some arrive at it as a " bolt from the blue " most others work at it by conditioning the five bodies to begin its expression and the ability of these bodies to hold it once it does emerge. If you can honor the mystic with in you and the woman that is fifty percent of what you are then this appreciation and honoring will take you far. Please remember to " come as a child " into this condition. Do not let your " grounding " propel your ego into thinking that it knows what it's all about by virtue of the internet or by virtue of research or previous journeys with drugs. It is different and it is lifelong and it is really indescribable though I try and try. Walking around nude is luxury that most do not have and in saying that I am meaning that even clothed people can have the Kundalini - lol! After it arises walking naturally in nature takes on a whole new meaning and experience. As perhaps you will see Don! Anyway my opinion on your question. - blessings to you. - chrism , merlin wrote: > > A couple of questions for the group.
