I love cats and am extremely attached to my little grey tabby,

Keiko. She is my meditation buddy and squawks relentlessly if I lock

her out of the room to meditate. Usually, I give in and she curls up

on top of me or beside me and enjoys the wash of energy.

We left town last month to go to my son's high school graduation in

Texas and while I was away I went on a long brisk walk with my ex-

wife and sister. During the walk, I felt very odd pains in my heart

area for about ten to fifteen minutes while we were walking. It was

hot and I wondered if I should be worried. But I'm in pretty good

shape and I'm used to all the weird sensations from K, so I just

ignored it. Eventually it stopped.

The morning after we returned home, my cat Keiko became extremely ill

and almost died. The vet said she had heart disease and that she was

experiencing congestive heart failure. They put her in an oxygen

chamber and started giving her meditation for heart patients. She

said her heart and lungs were filled with fluid. So we took her to a

cat cardiologist (I didn't know there was such a thing).

The cardiologist ran several (expensive) tests and concluded that

yes, she was in congestive heart failure and would likely live only

another 6-12 months. She said that the ultrasound showed an enlarged

heart (common condition in cats) and that normally the heart will

just continue getting larger until they die.

She prescribed lasix (a diuretic) and sent us home all weepy. The

visit to the vet was very traumatic for Keiko. When we got home she

had no energy and had become very frail, sleeping even more than

usual.

During my meditation sessions, I began to send energy to Keiko. I

envisioned a golden energy glowing in her heart region. I tried to

remember to do this every time I meditated. She seemed to be getting

better little by little but I just assumed that she would eventually

take a turn in the other direction (ahem, ye of little faith).

So today was her follow-up with the cardiologist. The doctor was

amazed because the EKG and sonogram were completely normal. She said

it was remarkable and that they just don't see a condition like that

reverse itself in cats.

Of course, it could have been a bum diagnosis to start with. But I

wonder if the K healed her and if I was feeling her condition in my

heart chakra while we were away. Anybody have any thoughts?

Much love,

Charles

What an inspiring story Charles! I think you helped Keiko to heal,

what a special gift you have given her.

Charles, that is a great story! I also am a cat person, and when one of

them is ill, you feel so helpless!

I had seven, but am down to four. It's amazing how attached one can become

to those little critters.

I can sure believe that it was. Similar things have happened with me.

Sarita,

I think so too... I'm not sure why I sometimes find it so hard to

accept. I would think after experiencing K that I could believe/accept

anything. I guess our society encourages skepticism.

Thanks,

Charles

Thomas,

My sister and I are both " cat people " and we also are amazed out how

attached we become. I'm glad she decided to stay with us longer.

Thanks,

Charles

Linda,

Three years ago I wouldn't have believed anything of this sort. Now,

I am starting to be a believer as well.

Thanks,

I definitely beleive that you helped heal your kitty, owners and pets have such

a strong connection and love heals all.

My Dad healed our cat once with his hands, the vet said he wouldn't make it but

my dad loved Harlequin so much he wouldnt give up and sat with his hands on him

daily. Soon enough he was all better and lived till a ripe old age.

I also did a similar thing with my Father, he had a terrible condition after his

cancer surgery, the doctor said he needed a blood transfusion. I placed a prayer

under his pillow and sat next to him praying and by the morning his blood had

mysteriously healed to the amazement of the doctors.

My dad still doesn't really know what I did he thinks he has magic blood and

proudly boasts about it ;-))

Thats the power of love.
