Guest guest
I have a bit of a different take on the Soul Retrieval process. One finds themselves at odds with life or with specific situations in life and they end up going to a Shaman for a Soul Retrieval or an SR for short. The Shaman escorts the person into the realms of the spirit world through a form of trance with a drum or another form of entrancement. When in the spirit realm the Shaman calls upon his or her power animals and these power animals find the fractured parts or missing parts of the soul. Once these parts are found the person is brought to where the parts are i.e. a small child who had suffered s & xual abuse and no longer feels trust for the other part of the soul body is reunited with that soul and an agreement is made to protect and never allow such activity to occur again or a broken hearted person is there still in pain over what occurred and this soul part is reunited with a healing and a communication about the dynamics of its upheaval. There are many reasons why a soul fractures away from the main soul body and like Paula suggests it is usually due to a severe trauma. As these parts are reunited the main soul body the person is brought back into the body some times with a gentle blowing upon and into the crown chakra as a way of a final connection being placed. The person is brought out of the trance and is a re-unified individual. This is often quite effective. - My understanding of the Soul Retrieval. - blessings all - chrism , " alayafire " <ari.reza wrote: > > hi Brandi...soul retrieval is the recovery of parts of the person that they left somewhere due to an emotional trauma

Guest guest
My shamanic soul retrieval was an incredible experience. A friend from elementary school, who I haven't seen in years came through Austin with her husband, who is a practicing shaman. They live in Bangladesh. He was kind enough to give me the experience of soul retrieval. He used several ritualistic tools, including stones, drum, and feathers. In his trance, he saw a little girl with pigtails sitting at a desk feeling abandoned. I was able to get in touch with her and ask her to come back to live with me. I felt the reconnecting at the time. He also gave me my spirit animal, a jaguar. This was an experience I feel blessed to have. In the hands of the right person, it is an incredible experience, very intense for the person who is receiving and also the person who is giving. Guest guest
May I suggest reading the book Soul Retrieval; Mending the Fragmented Self by Sandra Ingerman. You may find it to be very helpful in your healing jouney. After you have read it you may or may not choose to see a Shaman for a sole retrieval as you can recover your framented sole parts back yourself though the working of the Safeties too. What ever you decide to do please pick someone who knows what they are doing as there are many people who are book smart that like to call themsevels Shaman.
