Yes, quite right , one can ask and receive, I think the expectations thing is more a case of not trying to control what God brings you through ego, but more of an allowing so that our own ego ideas do not get in the way of Gods perfection. Our plans are usually not the same as spirits, spirit gets it much better :-)) Ask, and then stand back and GET OUT THE WAY!
