Guest guest
Interesting Julie. I live with rats about twelve feet from my bed. They make their noise and do some damage but Her Holiness the cat seems to keep them away. I use live traps when it gets too crowded. These are traps that do no harm. They trap them into a cage and one takes the cage and its occupant out into the environment where the rat is released into blackberry bushes are similar surroundings. I try to find a place where they have a water source etc. They are spoken to with kindness and they do respond well once they relax a bit from the confinement. They are indeed treated with respect and given a chance to live in the wilds. I know not everyone can do this. But perhaps a suggestion along these lines to your management might be worth the effort. The traps are washable and reusable and all have metal parts and there isnt any danger to human or rat. - my experience - chrism , Julie <jewelport wrote: > > > > > I am having a hard time with rats. I work in an older hotel (in south Texas, Linda, because of my grandbabies being here) and there is a pantry where danish, creamers, breads, and fruit are stored. It is contained and refrigerated. There is an infestation of rats. They come in and devour a whole box of individual coffee creamers. Two people who work audit have experienced one of the little creatures running up their leg. We are even having to get a new phone system because they have chewed up the phone lines. But now discovered, they are being trapped and poisoned. It has been a very hard time for me, walking into the pantry in the morning, and looking to see if any poor creature was stuck in the trap. I would hate to say how one escaped after being trapped. It seems so cruel. A large one was outside drinking some water off the sidewalk, surrounded by about 4 people, not caring, just drinking. I think the poison does that to them, > making them thirsty. And the maintenance man killed it. I couldn't bear to watch. This is really hurting me. I even considered quitting my job this weekend after a nest of babies was found. Oh well, empath definitely is not limited to humanity or little furry kittens.............alas.............. > > Julie > > --- On Mon, 7/7/08, Sarita <sarita1969 wrote: > > Sarita <sarita1969 > Flies? > > Monday, July 7, 2008, 1:31 AM I know this is going to sound strange, but has anyone had experiences > with flies? Guest guest
Worth a try....................They had been using this type of trap and releasing them in the Walmart parking lot (lol). But I think after they discovered how many there were, they decided to take this more drastic approach. But this brought back much pain from childhood with a similar experience and baby mice...........I can feel myself wanting to curl up into that fetal position for things I have no control over. Talking (writing) about it helps. I haven't consulted my " Animal Spirit Guide " yet. Is it the " year of the RAT? " Julie --- On Mon, 7/7/08, chrism <> wrote: <> Re: Flies? Rats?
