Question about clay jar symbolism in the Bible

I recently received a vision about clay jars being guarded by a man in

some kind of storage room. One of these pots was the answer to a

question I had asked before starting the journey. There was something

profoundly disturbing about the whole scene, but I don't know what.

I have a hunch that clay jars have some meaning in the bible (do they

stand for the body as the vessel of the soul perhaps?--I am sure there

is more to it, though).

I known there are several Christian members in this list. Can somebody

please give me the exact reference?

Thanks!

Selena,

I can't give you the exact references, but two scriptures come to mind.  One is

where Jesus refers to himself as the potter, and we are the clay.  The other is

of a woman who is a widow, and in debt.  She only has one jar of oil and her

sons (two, i believe).  The prophet Elisha or Elijah told her to borrow her

neighbor's jars, and she started filling them with her one, and there was no end

to the oil.  Kind of like the loaves and fishes.  Wish i were more of a bible

scholar.
