Guest guest
Hello Group – Many of the people here have known me for a while, and there are several new people on the list who are less acquainted with me. I spoke with earlier tonight and he asked me to write a bit about myself. So here goes . . . . . I have had an interest in kundalini for a few years now. I found my way to this list when a good friend of mine suggested that I might be going through an awakening. I spoke with about it and he invited me to join in on an upcoming shaktipat. I have been an active member since then. I have somewhat of an unusual background. When I was in undergrad working on my first degree, I decided to spend my free time learning to fly. After I finished my first degree, I decided to build flight hours by teaching flying. I took extra training in aerobatics and did some competition. I was pretty addicted so ended up flying commercially. I did that for a while but decided I was getting bored with being a busdriver in the sky. I started to work on my second degree (biology) and began accumulating prerequisites for med school. After getting rid of husband #1, I met husband #2 and we moved to Columbia, MO where I attended med school, and he attended law school. (NEVER try divorcing a lawyer; it takes forever!) Anyway, upon finishing med school, I decided to stay in Columbia to do my residency in Internal Medicine. Near the end of my residency, it became time to get rid of #2. I completed my residency a free woman! A move back to the area where I grew up placed me where I am at currently. I decided to pursue a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Everything was going great until I started falling down in the parking lot. My last day to work was at the end of 2003 and an MRI of my head showed multiple lesions and I was diagnosed with MS. Although I have difficulties with basic daily activities such as walking (I can't), I can think pretty clearly. Unless I have been margarita'd that is – lol. I enjoy the occasional happy hour! I do keep my medical license and continuing medical education active and current. The reason for writing all this is to let all members know that there is a medical doctor here on this list who is also familiar with kundalini. I am happy to help anyone of you with any problems if you email me at mm7810. I am more comfortable with adults, but have been known to help a kiddo with basic stuff before. Please give me a shout if you ever need to. Oh, and I had 2 canine children: Sam, a black lab, and Idgie, a black Gordon Setter. My boy, Sam, died on my 37th birthday, :-( and Idgie, my little girl, is still kicking but is starting to show her age. She is gorgeous! When was here at my house, he kept seeing a black dog hanging around; it must have been Sam! Email me if you need me! Blessings to All, Melissa L Cloer MD
