Guest guest
Native women were never alone in the " Red Tent " . It was an honor to be there in your moon time. You are not however allowed to participate in some dance and ceremonies be cause of the power of the woman's Moon time. Blood of the woman's sacred womb never to be spilled during prayer dances. The elder women get together and sit in the red tent and tend to the younger the " green women " to say would sit and help with this time. It is for reflection and learning. Sort of similar to mans sweat lodge. However the sweat lodges have now become available to women also. Just some fun into!
Guest guest
Thank you for all the information. I just knew it was somewhere my ex wanted to send me once a month, as I have Cherokee blood running through my veins coming from my Mississippi grandmother. The Indians had it right; I'm all for celebrating a young woman's transition into goddess, with a ceremony, not just saying, " poor thing, 35-40 years of the " curse " ............................ no, i don't sit up nights thinking about these things. i get plenty of sleep......... someone said this site was to be strictly about " kundalini " .........but it's all related to me.............emotions, body function, livelihood(Elektra, I even worked for a casino for awhile) It's all on the path of " K " for me...........and this group is feeling more like " family " than FAMILY.........again, just my humble little opinion........... maybe i'll finally get a tattoo (blue b'fly) left cheek (can i say cheek, chrism?) j --- On Fri, 7/11/08, raventreestudio <raventreestudio wrote: raventreestudio <raventreestudio Mooning Friday, July 11, 2008, 11:07 AM Native women were never alone in the " Red Tent " .
