You know what, Frankinsense and Murrh are some of my most favourite oils, I love

the scent of Christmas products you can get with these oils.

It's so difficult to get Murrh mind you , I absolutely love it. One of my

favourites.

I say bathe yourself in it, totally luxurious :-))

Love e x x x

Hi Elektra, I think it's the other way around. It's the Frankinsense

that is getting hard to come by. The gathering of too much of the oil

from these trees has endangered them is what I read somewhere.

You did say " any " take ... <g> ... I don't think you get the full story of the

Bible unless you see it as a symbolic story. The literal interpretation is a

trap, imnsho. The explanation that is most satisfactory to me of the entire

Jesus story is in the first part of Zeitgeist the movie, available free online:

http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ - two and a half hours long in total and a mind

blower for the literalists (if you are easily offended by alternative ideas,

don't watch it).

From what I know, these particular gifts have both spiritual and symbolic

meaning and were traditional gifts for any king of the era. Back then, only a

king or a priest would have been able to afford them. My experience with

frankincense in particular though is that it is a powerful tool for meditation,

and my guides/angels seem to love it. It's still expensive, but a small amount

seems to have a strong calming and balancing effect on the energy field.
