Guest guest
Everyone please grow a Kundalini Garden. Put in it anything you wish but this garden is an honoring and a blessing for the Divine Feminine within you. It will really have an effect upon the flow of the Kundalini. Put a tree in this garden somewhere. If you can, and I know not everyone can, please eat food from this garden as a way of internalizing your Shakti consciously. if you live in an apartment use pots or boxes. Look into community garden plots as well and please get your hands dirty! Make this an organic life based garden. No genetically modified seeds or plants and no herbacides or pesticides, i.e. dont kill creatures to keep them from partaking of these products of life. Be willing to share. This isnt a commercial operation. This is an honoring of life and Kundalini. blessings all. - chrism
Guest guest
Chrism, so many things, so many wonderful things have happened. I would like to tell you all about two of them today. The first has to do with this post of yours. ALL DAY LONG, I have thought of EXACTLY this, what you are saying here and how I want to grow some food in this way, a really thankful and spiritual way and for these reasons. The last time I saw the blue orb lights they were dancing above my garden. The *basic*idea has with me for a bit, and I did plant some things this spring but drought and extreme heat here has been devastating to my little garden plot. I harvested the very last of my thyme this evening and only the sage and oregano are still alive. All the vegetables have succumbed. The most interesting thing to me was to read your post this evening, when this thought has been uppermost in my mind today. I also keep imagining a courtyard, (in my next home) with a water system like a small aqueduct coming through. The images are getting stronger, it will be a place of wonderful healing and love. I also wanted to tell you that on my road trip to Arkansas I stopped at a rest stop in Oklahoma and did my 5 tibetans on a concrete picnic table while the 18 wheelers and all drove past. It made me smile. I am much better, and in much less pain and I thank you and those offering prayers to the list again for your help. Guest guest
Well I think I have this one covered. Wild roses are street side of the house, mixed with hawthorn, makes a nice natural barrier. 25 years of pulling the seed pods and putting them where I wanted them. The rose hips make a great source of vitamin c in rose hip tea in the winter. They line the road/driveway to the house. set back far enough so you can't see it from the road. The house is adorned in hanging baskets, you name it. We use raised beds for the kitchen garden close to the house, cucumbers, tomatoes, leaf lettuce, peppers, chives, coriander, jalepeno peppers, onions, scallions. Zucs of course and summer squash < my favorite> Think really fresh salsa. Lots of leaf lettuce, because we share with my silly rabbit, I called her shakti today, and her huge ears went right straight up. We are in a glacial erractic area, so these giant rocks just happen, we plant the south side of them with bleeding hearts and mint. A touch of the mint goes very well in the rose hip tea and I can sit and look at a bleeding heart for hours. A really good friend who passed gave me the first one. She was 85 and had the plants from her own mother. Time was twice and then again. We have a large section of one of the backfields in blueberries., standard maine fare from there is potatoes, really good crop that grows under less than great conditions. Root crop, not harmed by global warming vagaries. We can easily grow enough to make it a staple thru the winter. We do bulk onions as well. Stew makings, just need to add the deer. The deck has my favorites, morning glories and pansies. I've been working on a rasberry bed and it it just really starting to come in. 4 apple trees right around the house, some dwarfs but mostly classic. I make a mean applejack, Fresh squeezed cider is a blessing. Think I managed this one. I am a steward of the land and as I treat the land so the land treats me. Peace Don
Guest guest
I love this ... and maybe it explains why my garden is flourishing this year. I have tomato plants that are over 5 ft. tall! I am also growing comfrey to add to my herbal first aid kit - and it is also growing beautiful. My favorite addition this year is chocolate mint! It makes the most wonderful tea and addition to breads and cakes. The mint I added between rose bushes. I planted one in honor of my mother, one for my father and another in my favorite color of yellow. I have taken a backyard that was once a walkway to the alley, plain and unattractive, and made it into a quiet blocked off area of smells, tastes and colors. I've added solar lights and wind chimes and now use this area for meditation. It is so wonderful! I would recommend everyone do this, no matter where you live! Guest guest
If only I could, for one thing I live in a rented apartment, for another I have the opposite of green fingers, more like the fingers of death!!! ha. I do have 2 house plants that are growing without dying on me which I'm very pleased about. It is a dream of mine to one day have my own garden but whether that comes before 2012 I doubt it. I'm living in hotels right now, I'm so jealous of people with gardens growing organic veggies. :-(( I'm living on junk food so hard to even find a restaurant selling salad. e x x x ________ Not happy with your email address?. Guest guest
Hey folks! Remember me? Hello everyone. I know it's been a long time since I've logged in but I think of you often and have been keeping up with my meditations and eating lots of root food. There is a great product called an Earth Box. Google that and those of you in apartments can still grow veggies. They're very cool. Love, light and service to others. Guest guest
And they have these wonderful things called tower gardens, or stacked gardens where you plant rows UP instead of around that use a smaller space but still give you several choices. Next year we're planting a 'salsa garden' with all the yummy ingredients like tomatoes, onions, garlic, peppers, chives and cilantro. And the combined smells in this mini garden would be fabulous!!!!
