Guest guest
I hope this isn't too trivial to mention but it was nice and I like sharing nice things. I'm feeling extremes of things right now. 2 days ago, I felt like a radiant heater, sending out infrared heat from the core of my body. It was really uncomfortable and even a dip in the pool didn't completely get rid of it. The arm chair I was sitting in later felt like one of those heated seats but someone had put it on high. When I got up my daughter sat down and she asked if I had a fever! I was also feeling quite cranky, for no particular reason. Everything was irritating me, going wrong. Then yesterday, we decided to go for a little road trip as my husband is out of town. We went to Sedona, AZ for the day. I love going there but the " new age-y " shops are always off-limits with my husband so I indulged a little yesterday, browsing a rock and gem shop that was fantastic! As an Earth type, I was like a kid in a candy shop. I was naughty and treated myself to a kyonite necklace (a beautiful blue) and a couple of rock specimens (I'm a total rock hound, always have been). At lunch went out in a little meditation garden with my daughter and we had our sandwiches by a creek under a giant sycamore. It was very peaceful. Then, just for fun I had one of those aura photos taken of me and my daughter together. It was interesting, we were quite a rainbow! I was a solid blue column right up to my face, then there was this HUGE Gigantic green and yellow billowing cloud over both of us, then on my daughter was mostly red with a little yellow allon her right side. The lady who took the photo and explained it said I was a very old soul (do they ever tell anyone they are a new soul?) here to help and serve others and teach (I was thinking it might be Shakti somehow since it was solid blue). I didn't mention the K, as I usually don't. My daughter has healing energy which she came to me to learn to use (I'm still learning it myself! LOL) And she is a very creative type, either in art, music or dance (all three from what I can see right now!) She mentioned we were both healers, Sami specialising in animals, maybe some with people and I was both. Sami has said she wants to be a vet more than a few times, so that was interesting. Then we went for a short, very hot hike to Bell Rock. It was 98 degrees F (about 37 C) and humid as it was due to rain later in the day. It was a bit too hot for a hike really so we ended up just stopping in a Juniper-shaded dry creek and Sami happily collected the red sandstone rocks and played while I had a tiny meditation. Bell Rock is one of the supposed positive energy vortices in Sedona. I don't know if I totally believe in this but I do find these places to be very calming and peaceful for me and if nothing else they sort of make the rest of the world go away with their stunning beauty. So that was nice. As we left town for the 2 hr. drive back home, I had the most wonderful sense of euphoria come over me. We were listening to a Celtic CD my daughter had just picked out and as we drove south, to our right, West, we could see the gray blue rain clouds discharging their rain over the orangey-red cliffs and rock formations with a deep rose and orange colored setting sun making them dramatically more colorful. That and the new box of incense seemed to fill the car with it's heady scent and honestly I felt like I was visiting heaven from the cramped space of a small car!! The feeling stayed with me the whole way home and only started to dissipate when we got out of the car at home. It was really, really nice! I haven't had a feeling of euphoria in so long I'd forgotten what it felt like. So I think Shakti paid me a little visit yesterday! So just a little something fun. Hopefully not too trivial or off topic. Love to everyone, Valarie
Guest guest
Valarie, Thanks for this recounting. I love Sedona and the surrounding desert - there's probably a part of my attention that lives there permanently. So it was fun to read your tale and experience the feelings of the desert again.... Love, thanks, blessings, David
