Guest guest
Thank you for your advice. I understand fully what you have said, its just the fear of withdrawal pain. I have lived with this awful pain for 20yrs and in a way it has become part of who I am. It may sound funny to those who have never suffered chronic pain, but it becomes part of your identity. The first thing I used do as I woke up was to pop a pill. I would know when it was time to take another as my body chemistry would change. It also affected my moods. Since my K.sweeps have started I can wake up and go a few hours before the first pill, or even take a reduced dose. What I need to take is a leap of faith and 'trust' as you have said. While I am going through this change would I be able to put my name down on the healing list of the other site? I will think of you all holding my hand as I do this and then TRUST as 'K' takes over. Guest guest
Well LS, when I got here I had a year long 3-4 per day Vicodin habit. I had a serious car accident and was in pain constantly. During my first Shaktipat I stopped the Vicodin cold turkey. I have never taken one since. I was also on antidepressants. Those were not as quick to get off of, but I did this over a few months. I am now drug free and relatively pain free. I have my moments, but I was able to cancel back surgery and never considered it again. It's been about a year and a half now. I do understand how something can become a part of you. Sometimes we are defined by an injury or illness. I badly wanted to break out of that after my husband pointed it out. Now instead I see my accident as the catalyst for awakening my K. I'd much rather identify with that, lol! Best of luck on your K path! Guest guest
Got your back Skydancer! Just a few thoughts to, the safeties are your friend, try to maintain as positive an attitude as you can. Negativity feeds pain. You're going to have good days and bad days, speaking from experience here. I would backslide every once in a while, pop another perc. It was like OK, I've worked at this but I really need a break today. Don't get mad at yourself for doing that if you do, just a part of the process. Don't set timetables, just know the direction of the flow and go with it. Relax, into it. Watch a monty python marathon, or the three stooges, anything that makes you laugh and smile. Do whatever it takes to make you smile. Yell if you need us, my email is there to if you want to go offlist. Know that you are not alone in this. A ton of water, don't go anywhere without water. Watermelon. Peace Don

Guest guest
Thank you Don, I'm eating watermelon every day now for breakfast. My husband and I have half each. I love Monty Python so that is a great suggestion. Also thanks for the offer of listening (by email), I may need constant stories of your beautiful home and land so I can imagine laying there baking in the sun. Scotland is wet right now. I went from all day every day pain to almost no pain. > **Is the Shaktipat the form of healing I would be sent? If so what > happens?** No, Shaktipat is what offers us four times a year on the solstices. Here is a link to the explanation on the website: http://www.kundaliniawakeningsystems1.com/shaktipat.html Sarita
