Guest guest
Hi All, renewed call to store water etc! All of new Zealand has just been battered by some huge storms, widespread damage, flooding, rooves lifted off houses etc etc. I've been without power for the last 24 hours. High tide storm surges crashing into peoples houses. A real timely reminder to always be prepared for power, water etc outages. Amazing how much we rely on electricity. Everything you take for granted stops. Luckily we do a bit of camping and we have a woodburner so we were able to cook and stay warm, had a gas lamp and portable gas cooker. My sister watched in horror as a 100ft tree came crashing down to within metres on her house, amazing sight, like a war zone. Literally hundreds of large pine trees in the next town flattened. This was a storm like no other. Only a couple of deaths fortunately. My energy seemed to fall to low levels ? as a result of the low barometric pressure? widespread fear? The second day pain of the type that moves around the body, lots of kriyas as it tried to come out. Went outside and gardened in the rain to help it pass. Feeling like things are coming back to normal now. Whew! Regards Ana
