Guest guest
Hi all, Over the years I have at times when thinking, clasped my hands together in a particular configuration that came naturally to me but at the same time had no meaning for me. I have been searching the internet for photos of mudras to see if I could find the configuration that I had always done naturally as I reasoned that it looked like a mudra. I have never known much about mudras and was pleased to find a picture of it today. It is the Uttarabodhi Mudra and it is the gesture of supreme enlightenment. It identifies with a supreme power and symbolizes perfection. It is said that this mudra refreshes the system and recharges it with energy. This mudra is apparently frequently seen in images of the primordial Buddha Vairochana. I was told by a clairvoyant years ago that I had been a Buddhist monk in a past life and strangely, the only religion that I have ever felt comfortable with is Buddhism even though I come from a Christian background. It is interesting to discover little pieces of the puzzle that make up who we are and maybe parts of past journeys that have brought us to where we are now. Guest guest
Yes your journey picks up from where it left off. Good going Neil. I will still in the case of your Kundalini suggest the mudra of thunb and fingetips but if this calls to you for that purpose then go for it my friend! - , " Neil Gilchrist " <neil_gil wrote: > Hi all, > It is the Uttarabodhi Mudra and it is the gesture of supreme enlightenment.
