Guest guest
Hello Beloveds, These past few days my level of frustration has been pushed to the limit, and beyond. Maybe to see how I would respond. One thing after another piled up for me to deal with, nothing cooperating. Instead of screaming, which felt like an option at times, when I reached the point beyond the peak pressure I started laughing! And that was my response as more kept coming. lol! Amazed me... Something let go, I'm sure it was the controller in me, lol! And I'm happily buzzing from one thing to the next now, whether it cooperates or not. Whew! Subject change: I was wondering what happened to our Etiquette Protocols? Are they being sent automatically to new members? If people are so immature that they use our loving group to bash another member, or take advantage of the audience of this group to rant about an off topic subject in a negative way, then they need to be moderated, imho. I'm really tired of those who come on here to bash Chrism. If they don't care for him let them go somewhere else. I personally am not interested in what they have to say. If I was moderating I would delete them and advise them to post in a more considerate and respectful way, recognizing that the audience they are speaking to is appreciative of the help that gives us. My two cents. Love, dhyana
Guest guest
Good thought about the Etiquette Guidelines, Dhyana. Somehow---and I'm sure you'll agree with me---I doubt that Venus and Smileforme would pay much heed to them. They obviously have some sort of hidden agenda that they would not allow to be thwarted by what the rest of us regard as good posting manners. That being said, I am happy to reprint the post in which the KAS-1 Etiquette Guidelines were introduced in a separate post. I would like to share with the group, and particularly the two new members who seem to think they know so intimately, something interesting thing that happened during the writing of these Guidelines. As a moderator of the KAS-1 Healing group, I was part of the group that created the Guidelines. It took several weeks, as we wanted to be sure that and all the moderators had a chance to contribute to and approve the Guidelines. At one point during the process, there was wording under all of the Guideline headings regarding what would happen if a member were to 'break the rules'....they would be reminded, then they would be moderated, then possibly removed from the group(s). Chrism would not allow these protocols for misconduct to be included in the final version of the Guidelines. He did not want the Guidelines to be 'threatening.' He did not want a threat of moderation or dismissal to inhibit anyone from expressing their views here and getting the help they need. Smileforme and Venus: this is the kind of man you are denigrating. You stand to learn a lot from a man like Chrism. Blessings and love, Claudia Etiquette Guidelines to follow in a separate post... --- On Sat, 8/2/08, novalees <dhyana wrote: novalees <dhyana Hello Dear Group Date: Saturday, August 2, 2008, 2:53 PM Hello Beloveds,These past few days my level of frustration has been pushed to the limit, and beyond. Guest guest
True Claudia. I applaud all of you who worked on the Guidelines. Thank you. As a member I would like to see posts that are bashing other members to be deleted. Why allow them the opportunity to cause so much off topic posting to respond to them, giving them the attention they want, fulfilling their agendas. Unless we all agree to ignore them, now there's another idea. Doubt that would happen though. Personal bashing can be done off list, but they want the attention of the Group. I'm really sick of it. REALLY SICK OF IT. I'm rebelling. Love, dhyana xxx , Claudia <newtfoodbowl wrote: > > > Good thought about the Etiquette Guidelines, Dhyana. Personal bashing can be done off list, but they want the attention of the Group. I'm really sick of it. REALLY SICK OF IT. There are lots of threads, both on and off topic in the different lists that I am on, which annoy, distress or bore me ... but I'm not the moderator. And different people have different opinions about what should and should not be moderated. I am sure that you are right, it's unlikely we'd all agree to ignore them on our own. Look at Venus' argument - she was saying both that didn't respond enough to the charges (mind you she also said that he was too harsh! (laugh) ... you can't win, can you?). I use Eudora and when there is a topic I am sick of, I filter it to trash. Your email reader likely has something similar. Usually you can filter by participant and keyword. It will make your daily discussion groups a lot more enjoyable. I'm rebelling. If they delete the thread(s) they will be accused of censoring Chrism's critics. We need to continue to show by reasonable, respectful but firm argument what spiritual maturity is really all about. Part of that includes accepting criticism, even when the arguments are not compelling. It's been said, let it stand. There may come a time when the moderators may have to delete a thread or ban members, but I prefer to let them decide when that time has come.
