The dietary requirements do need tobe followed including the caffienne intake. Doing more pranayama with making the changes towards the practice will symply increase the pains. More is not better unless the preparations and conditionings are given. - A stif lower spine or spressures in that area are normal. The shoulder is being worked on but more needs to be done with regard to your practice but not the practice as is.
