Guest guest
More info on my episode Mon night at work. Wondering if you think its K related. I have a couple of bad varicose veins in my right leg and foot. Generally fine but sometimes throb a bit. Well they started to throb and pulse halfway through my night at work. Stomach discomfort started, like being bloated, a lot of feeling of pressure building very quickly. I bent over to do something and had a sharp, kind of wrenching pain in my lower back. I decided a break was in order. Stepped outside for some air, we had a small but intense T storm coming in and I could hear the thunder and see the lightening in the distance. I've mentioned my hands before, when I hit the outside air, they seemed really sensitive and then started to pulse and throb as well. I'm getting a bit anxious now, wondering what the heck is going on. The throbbing seemed to move right up my arms and into my chest. I went back in side and found a comfortable chair and just sat and tried to be still for a bit. Nauseous now as well. Nasty metallic taste in my mouth. Seemed better after about 20 minutes and I figured finish up and get the heck home. Walking down the main hallway, I thought I caught movement in one of the rooms and turned my head to see. Sharp, very intense pain from my left hand right up my neck, just behind my left ear and up into my forehead. I kind of stumbled and just layed myself down on the floor right there. This is the part where I'm thinking the docs and nurses will find my body here in the morning and be mad cause the cleaning wasn't finished. I do remember laying there watching the lights in the building flickering on and off and hearing the thunder as the storm moved though. The rest of the evening is kind of a daze, I don't remember locking up and leaving. I don't remember the drive home. I do remember digging out our bottle of Jim Beam(medicinal purposes only Pouring myself about 3 fingers and laying down on the couch. I woke up about 2 am and went up stairs to bed. I remember my neck felt quite sore and stiff. Woke up about 8 am and promptly fell asleep on the couch again. Woke up just in time to go to work, made it through the night but everything seemed like it took longer and every movement felt like it was uphill. Like walking in jello. Fell asleep almost as soon as I sat down on the couch when I got home. Feeling quite washed out today. I had spent the day, Sunday, in the woodlot, cutting down trees for next years firewood, a lot of physical activity. I might have over done it, not 20 years old anymore. Grin. I was tired Mon morning but not overly so, and felt fine when I started work. One thing that strikes me is, it seemed to happen in concert with the storm. Got worse as it approached, the worst when it was on top of me, and better as it moved away. I found that kind of odd. Appreciate your thoughts as always. Peace Don
