Guest guest
As I sit here and watch Tropical Storm Fay while she does her thing, I see God's strength, power, and Him being in full control of even weather! On Friday while at a church luncheon, a friend of mine received a phone call from her husband's boss; he was looking for her husband because the base had been put on alert—HURCON 4. She asked me what it meant and I couldn't help her, I had NO IDEA!! I went off to ask another friend and she said it had to do with a hurricane; that is when I learned of Tropical Storm Fay, but at the time, she had no name! After watching the formation of the storm and all the predictions being made, it reminded me of the only one who would know what Fay's next move would be!!! Every time I turned around, a new projection was being made as to where Fay would hit and whether she would remain a tropical Storm or become a hurricane. The predictions for landfall were primarily up the western seaboard of Florida, but there was talk about it possibly shifting and making landfall anywhere within the Gulf of Mexico. Once Fay exited Cuba they were anticipating it going up the coast of Florida and then making landfall @ Tampa! It continued to make it's path and finally made landfall in Naples, Florida. Once it made landfall, they meteorologists were certain it would break apart. Well, once again, they were wrong; in fact, it strengthened, gaining speed and the pressure even dropped a little. In fact, yesterday I was suffering from pressure in my ears and had to continue depressurizing them! Oh, by the way I live on the east coast in Brevard County (Central) in between Cape Canaveral and Sebastian Inlet, I live in Satellite Beach, less than a ½ mile from the beach. Anyway, as Fay headed across the state toward us, the predictions being made were constantly changing! It ended us finally coming over us. The center of circulation is just slightly north of us now, but we are still experiencing heavy rains and high winds. WE live only about 1 ½ hours from Flagler County where once it heads out to sea is supposed to come back in through Flagler, so we will continue to get the winds and rains. Now we are experiencing floods everywhere, power outages, sewer issues, high surfs, etc. IT IS WILD!!!! This is the wildest system I have ever seen, heard, or personally experienced in my life! Now they are saying it may come back in @ Volusia County that is the county right above us! Claude may even get to experience a piece of it as well all the way up into GA. WOW!!!! Amazing power of God! Shows all people how He is still in control, regardless of our technology and how advanced it is!!! Utterly amazing is His strength. Most importantly, there have only been 10 deaths and only one was from the state of Florida, the rest from my understandings were from Cuba and Haiti. The death in Florida was because of carbon monoxide poisoning from two generators the man was testing inside his garage. We had 8 different tornados come through yesterday, one of which literally came right by my home! That was scary, wild, and unnerving to say the least!!! This whole thing has been wild and crazy and I am thanking God at this very moment for the experience of it all!!! I love it!!! I have fully enjoyed watching the power of God, his cleansing, the strength of His ocean, the fury it holds!!! Wild, just Wild!!! We are still getting a ton of rain and wind!!! It is supposed to last all day and possibly even longer depending on what happens to the storm!!!! Anyway, I have been praying for God to help the animals find shelter and the birds find safety. Yesterday, I saw a bunny rabbit running to seek shelter and I wanted so badly to catch the bunny and bring him into my home until it was all over! I saw birds trying to fly, but not being able to! I prayed and prayed for the animals to stay safe as well as the people. To help the people make wise choices, not stupid ones!!! My kids wanted to go surfing and skim boarding, but I wouldn't let either of them because of the dangers!! At first they weren't very happy, but soon realized I was right!! Today scientists have rescued a sperm whale that has found itself beached. They have taken it to a local park, probably Sea World in Orlando, until the system passes. The last couple of days they have been collecting sea turtle eggs from the beaches to keep them safe for the high surfs and tides. It is phenomenal to watch what goes on, the reaction of people around, how they react to God's powers and strength!!! WILD!!! WILD!!! WILD!!!! I feel the pressure building in my ears again!!!! WILD!!!! Love, Katherine
