Guest guest Posted August 21, 2008 Report Share Posted August 21, 2008 To lighten the mood a little- As a modern 21st century woman doing my daily housework, I have often pondered over the saying: " Chop wood, carry water " . This is not something that I ever do as I have central heating and running water from my tap. What I now do when I need a 'moving' meditation is consider the words " Wash dishes, clean loo " or " Dust telly, iron shirts " . Surely these expressions have more relevance to today's western woman? What about today's man, or are you all as lucky as Don, living in your own homestead?
