My days and nights of nightmarish dreams finished once I was over my

last marriage and saw my children again after 13yrs. I more or less

have all my ego needs except for one thing. I always fancied living

out my twilight years in a small house or cottage with a small

garden. I had always visualised it as white washed on the outside.

Recently I had dreamed that I found my house an old Victorian villa

that needed renovation. Each night I would dream of it being fixed up

and fitted out to my specifications. Then last night after it was

complete I was moving in when a man in a suit stood at the door and

said I could not have my house any more as I was the wrong religion.

My religious persuasion had never come up before in any of my dreams

and I felt cheated that I was not told all this before I bought and

fixed up my new perfect house.

Although I have analysed other peoples drams I have no idea what this

is about? Houses often represent your body, but that is as far as I

can work it out.

Any ideas please?

Hello LS! Houses in dreams usually represent the self. It can represent the body but often is about psychological issues as well. Fixing up the house I would liken to upgrading yourself, which is what is essentially being done through the K. Perhaps you will have a moment of doubt about how you got where you are or someone will try to take away your progress by planting seeds of doubt. I think you need to have confidence and stand firm. It's your house, you did all the work, don't let anyone take that from you.

If he returns take him by his dark suit and help him to understand his

opinion isnt needed or wanted and help him on his way - with vigor!

This is a representation of fear. Fear of loss. A test given to you by

that which is " awakening " with in you. You CAN have your white cottage

and garden which is really " your shining self " and nothing can take it

away from you. - my take - chrism

I went back to my 'dream house' and went inside to talk to the man.

Inside they were having a 'religious' meeting and stopped it to talk

to me. I discussed with them my 'old' house which I used to live in

and told them that although it was older, it was much bigger and

would house them all and their meetings more comfortably.

I am waiting for them to get back to me. LS, x

Thank you for your reply Sarita,

I mentioned in answer to Chrism's reply, that I have offered the

suited man and his friends my 'old' house. I just have to see what

they say.

I don't like confronting people in my waking life unless it is

something I strongly believe in or will affect me or mine adversely.

I spent too many years having to stand up to an abusive ex, the

father of my children and it caused me to leave them and have a

breakdown. I now pick and choose my fights.

I could be wrong about this LS, but my impression is that you need to TELL the man what he can have, not ask him. Don't get me wrong, this looks like progress but I think it's possible you asked instead of told because of your past. You have been through a lot and changes don't happen overnight, but it looks like you've come a long way already!

  • 2 weeks later...

Thank you all who helped with answers to this dream. I did not dream

about it again until last night. I moved into my dream house after my

squatters moved out and in my dream I went to bed. During the night a

fire started and I got out safely. As I watched the firemen trying to

extinguish the flames on the thatched roof, someone came behind me.

The man behind me was Chrism, although I have only seen a pic in the

files, I knew who it was. He was smiling and gave me a small silver

key to a large room in a block of flats. So in my dream I moved into

my new room with nothing. There were lots of other rooms on other

floors and quite a few people milling around. Maybe tonight in my

sleep I will go and make some friends.

This dream is full of symbolism which I am trying to work out, so any

suggestions? I feel that I went through all that stress over my

lovely white cottage and it was not really meant for me. I even

bribed my squatters to get them out, only for it to burn down.

Maybe not, look at the fire as something that purified your nice white

cottage, not destroyed it. Myabe you just needed to move into that

large room temporay while the puification was taking place. A great way

for that to take place, puification can cause pain sometimes. I would

say you have been through enough pain. :)
