Guest guest
Thanks Chrism, It seems like we need to continually shed beliefs like old skin to keep growing and learning afresh. A little difficult to know which beliefs are helping us along, and which are dead skin waiting to be shed! Seems like the inner witness, surrender, the inner child, detachment, discernment and being in the now are all tools to help us unfold on this path. Peace everyone, bradly
Guest guest
Hi Bradly, thoughts from an old wood chopper. Just stay open, bound to next to nothing. Easier said than done I know. John's post earlier lit this train of thought off. Being well along the path of life does have certain advantages. Life has changed so swiftly around us, we have no other option but to be open to change. I was a child, when Arthur C Clarke envisioned satellites. Sci-fi, and then I went out one night to watch a giant mylar balloon in orbit, Echo, our very first, just a system to bounce signals off of. We had our first real time news from Europe. Now I have a sat dish pointed at the heavens for my internet feed. Tiny, black and white tv screens, with public service commercials that were teaching people how to dial a rotary phone. It wasn't in the culture, many people had no clue how to do it. Men on the moon that was H G Wells, then we did it. Everyone going to the rich neighbors house to see color TV for the first time. Don't let the culture, as it is, set any standards. They change constantly, they change rapidly. Don't try to apply other or older cultures to your thought, yours are new and fresh, run with it, it's right for you. Seek your own balance. Shed what you need to, cherish what you keep. We all seek ways to describe this, language joins us and it sets us apart because of our choice of words. You can be overwhelmed by change interior or exterior. Many days I think language dumbs us down. Lowest common denominator. It's not a good way to actually communicate.
