If one is unable or unwilling to begin to work in this area it can become a difficult process as emotions from long ago can well up and demand expression and attention. Hatreds or biases towards those whom you do not have the highest respect for can come crashing down upon a person and a seeming magnification of these people in the day to day life experience can be had. This would be an enforced balance opportunity given by the Kundalini. Balance through inundation. Eventually one " gets it " but it can be a rough time. No need to experience it unless there is that need. Begin to balance your emotions now if you wish to expidite that change. Certainly if you are in the next Shaktipat session. Please remember that the Emotional Body is as real as your physical body and it will more often than not become extremely expressive with a Kundalini infusion. So please practice the safeties. Look at your ability to have tolerance and forgiveness for others. Whatever the insult to you. Look to be at peace in your interactions with people who may disagree with you, or fear you, or hate you, or do things that are abhorrent to your way of thinking and living. Look at your attachments to feeling a certain way when given a reason. Look to see if you can initiate change in your responses. Kundalini seems to demand this in my experience with it. As one is able through forgiveness and tolerance and love and conscious kindness to communicate these traditions and skills in ways that are action and intention based one becomes aware of a balance that occurs. An inner serenity comes and is a prelude to a type of bliss. It is this balance that will nourish the Kundalini in my experience.
