Guest guest
I'm Lisa and I thought I would introduce myself as the 'new kid on the block'. I have had a number of experiences of the years, but is only recently that I have started meditating on a regular basis. Things are moving on and sensations are being felt. I have read through the website amongst many other information sites and forums. So I am aware of many things that may happen. I'm actually looking forward to it, however it may come. But can anyone give me any information on pressure on the chest. It feels like a plank of wood is placed on my chest making each breath I take shallow. It doesn't hurt - just uncomfortable. Shall I just put up with it as it will go in time or ask that the pressure be lifted alittle? Any suggestions would be good. Love and light My thoughts and love are with all those affected by Hurricane Gustav - bless you. Lisa
Guest guest
Hi Lisa, welcome to the family. I'm one of the grumpy old uncles. Chuckle Asking Shakti is a good idea, I do it when I really need to be together for work etc. Now if you are here you realize she has her own agenda <women> Grin. So she may help only when she sees fit. Other than that the word here is surrender, let the breeze in and the breath out. Sounds like the heart chakra, which is a wonderful place to be. Something that has been helping me a lot lately is good solid physical exercise. Yeah I hear you all, but chopping wood does work. If its right for you, think about you're most comfortable way to really work up a sweat. The mind seems to step back and the body goes on remote control. It can be just as an effective meditation as sitting practices are. Check the web site, safeties and Tibetans. I grew up with asthma so I know the feeling well. Guest guest
Hi Lisa, and welcome. I have heard of this symptom before and I'm sure some can give you first hand advice. I would just surrender to it, it will pass. Ask Shakti to ease it a little if you wish, it can't hurt. I have heard some say water helps... Like a bath or shower. Happy to meet you, love elektra x x x
Guest guest
Hello Lisa and welcome, It never hurts to ask. Have a look at the safeties and after you do them and you come to the Tibetans practice the Tibetans once or twice daily at six repetitions to start of each rite. See whether this pressure has or hasnt lifted. I feel it will lift. Guest guest
Welcome Lisa, Don't worry about this symptom. I have also had it and yes, it does feel like a plank of wood on your chest. I found it best to just lay there and breath through it and in fact I felt my breathing going deeper into my lungs than ever. Much deeper than when I try it myself without Shakti.
