Guest guest
Just a heads up my friends. Hana has started up the north east coast. Damaging winds and rain. Just shy of hurricane strength. Watching the radar she kind of blew up as she turned north. Hit your atm and get some cash tomorrow, about a weeks worth of food and fill up you gas tanks. Close to 3 million are still without power from Gustav and it could take more than a month to restore it. This new storm hits the major portions of the electrical grid. No power, no atm, no card swipe at the store, gas pumps don't work without power. Power company crews that headed south to help are now packing up and headed home to deal with their own problems. Not just your household wire, but major transmission lines are down across Gustavs path. More could go across the northeast this weekend. Plan for the worst, hope for the best. Ike will be headed into the gulf next week and we could see an even bigger event in our major oil producing area, lots of infrastructure still down for lack of electricity and much more could go. Ike link http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_at4.shtml?5day?large#contents Hana blowing up as she hit the coast. http://www.goes.noaa.gov/ECIR4.html Most likely not but there is a potential here for a total de-stabilization of the electrical grid, we live in a world where we are all connected, literaly tons of copper wire and transformers, there are not enough stored to rebuild it in the event of a major failure, there are not even enough telephone poles. Plan wisely, keep your loved ones safe. I'm not a praying kind of guy, never quite got it. From an early point I knew all the power and grace I needed was already with me.Praying to some other thing always seemed odd, something outside of me. I don't have to ask anyone else for help. Like healing, praying to heal sometimes seems to me to be an affirmation of the sickness. I just choose not to live in a reality where I need healing, I live in a reality where I was never sick. The doctors may think differently, but I do not chose to live in their world. The help is here, within me. That said I really do like Bradlys " for the greatest good " . That resonates nicely. For all those in the path of these storms I wish the greatest good. I'm headed for the ocean this weekend, I just love the energy in these storms, Mother at her best. Peace Don
