Hello Beloveds,

This is another one of my favorite posts from way back in the

Group. Good to keep in the " Kundalini First Aid " folder!

Love.

Re: Over heating

Hello all, The energy of Kundalini has six distinct

phases of temperature that will typically present a 'in an individuals

experience. That I am aware of, others may know

of more:

heat

cold

roving heat

roving cold

radiating heat

inverse radiating cold

The first is the heat. Though the energy will seem

at times non-physical and of an ephemeral quality,

at other times it will be felt as extremely hot, HOT!

In all the physical aspects of heat. In the spine in

the head, the hands and feet, kidneys, adrenals,

reproductive organs, and other selected places upon and

in the body will at times, experience a tremendous

increase of heat and a heat that is not always communicable

to a thermometer yet is at other times. A Kundalini thing.

At times a pulsing will be felt as if a pump has been

activated typically at the base of the spine but not always.

People are different and the symptoms will range. These are

the beginning stages of what it means to understand the

multiple aspects of physical reality and how it is

interpenetrated into the other dimensions.

To control the heat a few actions can be employed.

Drink lots of water, keep your self hydrated and avoid

the actions of substances that will rob you of

hydration ie coffee, smoking, alcohol, hot spicy foods,

diuretics etc. All the time. Especially as you feel a

heat spike occurring. I have felt them all over my body

and sometimes I just radiate heat constantly,

(most of the time now). My Friends know that I will always

fog up the side of the car I sit on now and adjust the

defrost accordingly. They see me in cold weather sweating

at times and wonder at my imperviousness to chill. A double

edged sword to be sure.

Another action is the activation of the lunar channels

of the body. Lunar is cooling and the solar is heating in

this regard. When the body is being overheated, plug the right nostril

and breathe solely through the left nostril,

until the body cools.

Another way is the use of the Apana energy. This is ICY

cold and can be as deleterious as the heat so caution is

required. This energy is associated with the nature of

expelling, or that of descending. I have activated this

accidentally and found it to have tremendous cooling actions.

The problem is knowing how to turn it off. Solar energy will

go up, apana will go down. This is considered an aspect of

Prana in some of the Yoga journals. Whatever. It cools.

I breath it from the top of the head to the bottom of the

spine, Some folks will do this under a moon feeling the lunar energies

flowing into their system. Others like me will just

activate it with the breath or intention. It can also

be brought up the front of the body. Tongue up or not.

I was playing around, while driving one afternoon about

5 years ago, with pulling energy up the front of the spine,

kind of in line with some of Gopi Krishnas work. Not knowing

what I was doing, and Wham! the icy energy began to expand

and climb up the front of my torso. It scared me in its

intensity and I swore off experimentation while driving for

some time after that experience.

COLD, COLD,COLD, like the veins are being pumped with a

fluid that will freeze far below the freezing point of water.

I intended it back down, which isn't the same as willing it,

and it did indeed subside. This is very strong so be careful!

If you try this and it gets stuck in the " on " position breathe

through your right nostril with the left one plugged and

think/feel the energy back into its normal positioning. Be

careful and don't panic. Not to be done while driving . -

There is more and if anyone is interested I will continue on

this track. Don't want to bore... -
