Refiner's Fire - Some Christian Thoughts

Hello Beloveds,

I've come to understand and experience the Shakti Energy as

something very Sacred. In trying to build a needed context

in the Christian tradition one Scripture reads, " Be Holy,

for I AM Holy. " Refining my life in surrendering to the

leadings of this awesome Energy and Presence, I find it

leading me more and more into a life of holiness. The Refiner's

Fire is a very well known concept in a Christian's life, and

I find this to be a very real experience, and may be the

connector I've been looking for.

Today I found myself welcoming the Scatterfield with a deeper

sense of what is happening, and a firmer commitment

to surrender every part of my life that this Fire wants to

consume, reflecting on the verse that says, " Our God is a

consuming Fire. " In receiving Shaktipat I am saying, " Yes,

Lord, I welcome Your Fire to purify and transform me,

surrendering my bodies to Your Will.

Another thing to think about, for the Christians in our Group,

is that Chrism's lineage is rooted in the lineage that has

been passed down through some of the great saints of the

Christian world. And maybe he will say more about this. It is

not foreign to our Path, just not well known.

Our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit

will surely cleanse the Temple. We are not our own, and the

surrender that we are called upon to make, is our " reasonable

service. "

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you

present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which

is your reasonable service. Rm. 12:1

Love,

dhyana

Hi Dhyana, I enjoyed reading your post. Even before I knew about

kundalini, I believed the fire to be a good thing. I saw both the

fire and the water as cleansing and purifying. Just as some see the

glass half empty, some see it as half full. I see the water and fire

as cleansing and purifying the world, where some see it as destroying

it.

They are not elements that cause the end of the world, but only cause

the end to ignorance and illusions. Water symbolizes knowledge/logos

and I guess you could say fire/Spirit is the ingredient that is

needed to use that knowledge wisely. There is a verse in the old

Testament that says, " My people perish because of the lack of

knowledge and wisdom. " We need the cleansing of the word and the

purifying of the Holy Spirit by fire.
