Guest guest
I don't remember when I learned we share this world. But I know it's a fact. Now its all around me, every day. My rabbit, my hawks, my hummingbirds. The deer walk right up to me. Turkeys who bang on the windows so I dump out bird seed. My most striking encounter was really odd. We used to sell wireless internet access. Part of that was going to a potential clients location and setting up a temporary antenna to see how strong our signal was. Called a site survey. Well I was out on one, a young lady lived alone, unpacked my gear to check signal and was body checked by her cat. Big old maine coon cat. Came out of nowhere at me. Really pretty, and I said Hi and just started petting her. You cat people know the drill, big purrrrrs, and then she opens up and gives you her belly. Cat belly is nirvana. Well that cat followed me everywhere, when I was down on the floor reading the meters she was in my lap. We had a marginal signal there and I had to tell the young lady we could not provide service. She said " who are you?, what are you? " I said I'm not sure what you mean. The way it goes is that she got the cat from a shelter, the cat had been abused, smokes put out on her. She had had the cat for five years, it never would let her touch her. She had never heard the cat purrrr in 5 years. Let alone see her belly. The cat had never sat with her or been close, they had mostly tolerated each other. This for the woman who had saved the cat. Even though we could not provide service, the young lady keeps in touch. The cat hasn't purrrred, but they sit together now, quite close and touching. Peace Don
Guest guest
As a " cat person " , I have a big soppy heart for cats, esp. less than privileged ones. All my life, I've been like a magnet to strays, abandoned and lost cats (my Mom has so many stories she tells about me aquiring animals as a child). We have one hanging out on our back porch right now that I'm pretty sure was left behind when someone in our neighborhood moved. Sad. So that is a great story, Don! I usally have that reaction, from cats especially. I can only think of 2 in my life that had something against me! I don't know if Kundalini was present in some form cats recognized even from my childhood days (I don't think it was but what do I know?) and that's what drew them to me. Funny, this morning I dreamed of finding some week old kittens, their eyes just starting to open, in a closet (a complete surprise and no mother to be seen) and later discovered my daughter had dusted them with what looked like gray chalk dust. I was so mad and I rushed to clean them off before they licked it off themselves and got sick. She had also put peroxide on our black cat and he had distinctly orange streaks! I was freaking out and could not believe my daughter could be so cruel. Anyway, lovely story, as usual, Don. I've read most of Gerald Durrell and James Herriot, you could rival some of their animal stories. Thank you for the nice " ahhh " this morning. Love and hugs, Valarie

Guest guest
Hi , some perceptive, you are. I never actually thought of that. " life stories " . Nice. I have been here a long, long time. These little things happen to us all, it's our vision, that needs to see them. As you get older, with luck you see more of them. I relate them here amongst friends. Just an old soul, been ready for some time. Getting kind of tired of carrying this body around. Kind of looking forward to being stardust again. Peace Don > what a treat your life stories are - keep them coming i learn much from > you- >
