There are more than a few of you here > and your wisdoms and experiences are valuable so if you feel the > expressive desire please know your thoughts and experiences will be > respected and appreciated. - while I'm not overly old physically (29 at this writing), speaking as a person who has experienced the " positive interference " of kundalini to some degree or another since he was 14, much of that time neither having any idea about his condition or the support of anyone knowledgeable or sympathetic, I'm continually surprised by the number of people who seem eager for the experience. and seemingly oblivious to the fact that this " intelligent energy " has its own agenda, which is not evil, but is also not what we would consider " human " much less personally-beneficial. except in a very limited sense, you cannot " use " it; on the contrary it will use you, your mind, skills, talents, and when you would attempt either to control it or to identify the ego with it, nothing but suffering and psychological hardship will result. you are lucky to have chrism and other folks to assist and offer the benefit of experience, but I would urge anyone to ask themselves if they really want this. it is not an amusement, curiosity or trendy thing to do nor a competition in spirituality nor a way to gain talents or enhance aspects of your life or character in ego-pleasing ways; you are playing with the forces of life, with long-term implications therein. we would do well to respect it as such. also I would like to say there is a lifetime of difference between experiencing a state of awareness passively and actually being able to function in and stabilize that state. we may experience bliss and temporary exaltations of consciousness on a regular basis, but Kundalini's aim insofar as I understand it, and intent, is that we rise, gradually, fully awake, alive, and without chemical aid, in full consciousness, into higher states of awareness permanently, in the process enhancing rather than escaping our ability to function in the moment here-and-now through expanded understanding. Because I belongs to Shiva (the ultimate Ego) which is static conciousness whithout Shakti. The lessor ego has no permanence nor does shakti care for it though will use it as her vehicle towards realisation of the Ultimate Ego.
