Guest guest
It's good to read everyone's Shaktipat experiences. I believe I had one last night but it wasn't as uplifting as what I'm reading here, quite the contrary. I don't remember the whole dream. I remember that there was a fierce dog trying to attack me...it was very wolf- like...perhaps a German Shepherd. I was having to hold its jaws to keep it from killing me....I had its upper jaw in one hand and the lower jaw in the other. It would rest and then lunge at my throat, and I would always just barely keep it from breaking loose from my grip and lunging at my neck. I can remember the smell of his agression and the smell of my fear...it was so intense that I could smell it! A tense and terrifying standoff. At one point, 3 other people arrived to help me, but they couldn't hold his jaw like I had been doing and he almost connected with my throat. I decided to continue to hold him off myself, as long as I could. When I woke up, I was VERY unsettled. I believe that the dream was significant but I don't know why. Does anyone have any ideas? Perhaps it was just an opportunity to surrender to the inevitable pain and destruction, like I dreamed a while back with the tiger at my throat, but this time I was holding him off. What do you think? Claudia

Guest guest
Sounds like you are meant to let him devour you, lol! Its not the natural response, that's for sure. I wonder how you get from the natural instinctual survival response to " eat me! " in a dream. Guest guest
The frightening dream I had Monday night was when I was trying to go into a meeting and the wind was blowing so hard it would rip whatever I was holding onto right out of my hands, leaving me with nothing to cling to to keep from being blown away. I don't remember feeling fear, just wonder at the power it was showing. Respect maybe was the feeling. It didn't blow me away. I think I crawled into the meeting. Don't remember what it was about though...lol!
Guest guest
Since we are sharing scary dreams, I had one two nights ago in which my home - this gorgeous mansion - suddenly slid off its foundations and was sliding down the hill toward a lake. I was inexplicably trapped inside a small closet that had a tiny hole to crawl through. I was squeezing through the hole (like being birthed??) and making my way to the window, very fearful that I wouldn't make it before the house plunged into the lake. I made it out and watched the house disappear into the water. My hubby says, "Well, at least it was insured - now we can rebuild."I am kinda thinking that the house symbolized my life. Anybody else have thoughts?-alice--- On Thu, 9/25/08, novalees <dhyana wrote:novalees <dhyana The frightening dream I had Monday night was when I was trying to go into a meeting and the wind was blowing so hard it would rip whatever I was holding onto right out of my hands, leaving me with nothing to cling to to keep from being blown away. Guest guest
Gosh, it sounds like we both experienced terrifing threats. I suspect that this is what has talked about before....tests of our surrender. Tough, for sure! Guest guest
Me too, Dhyana! So different from the tiger dream, where the tiger's huge jaws were poised around my neck so close...I was much more " resigned " in that dream, anticipating what it would feel like when the tiger bit down. In this dream, I was tense with fear and dread. Guest guest
Perhaps this was about the threat of having familiar supports removed, of " flying free. " Again, a test of surrender, methinks. Sounds like Shakti/God is talking to us all this Shaktipat season. Guest guest
From what Sarita has taught me about dreams, a house symbolizes the self...perhaps this dream was talking to you about the loss of the old self as Kundalini changes us...and you were right on target about squeezing through the hole being like being birthed....you emerged, safe, from the old self before it disappeared. Maybe? Guest guest
I have noticed a common theme of letting myself be devoured lately, didn't know it was so popular, lol. Whenever I really want to know how I'm doing, I can check in with this, i don't know, mental picture that depicts a girl (me) unconcious if I'm worn out, getting hit if I'm not taking care of myself, ect. It lets me know how I'm doing. I usually go there voluntarily but a few weeks ago I was jerked into that state, and saw me being run down by a cougar. Cougar is my power totem, and over the last few years I've had differing interactions with it in dreams but never in this waking state and never actually getting caught by it. My instinct was to let myself be devoured by it, not to fight. And last night I dreamed I was trying to get away from a huge fish or shark, and someone, I think Chrism? helped me into a boat. But there was a long fishing line filled with hooks in it that was in the shark and as it swam away one hook got caught in my big toe and started to rip it off. I was screaming in pain and told me, no, its ok, you have to lose your toe. As soon as I accepted that the pain was gone and so was my toe! I've heard that dismemberment is a K thing, and I had been feeling pressure in that toe, but ouch! and ew! I am so happy to look down and see my toe still there, although it kind of hurts at the memory. Don't know if this helps, but you're not the only one. Guest guest
I can identify with both you and Claudia. I have had so many dog attacks in dreams and in OBEs, that it is unreal. I think it has helped me to get over my fear of dogs, somewhat. Hehe I've only had one rape dream and that was enough. It was by three primitive men from way back in time. They were really crude! Guest guest
I was out late one night walking and this big dog charged me. I froze. When he leaped up on me he started licking my face and wagging his tail. Geeesh. Fear is projecting the worse that can happen I think. Never had it in a dream, yet.... Guest guest
I have experienced that frozen in place terror before. LOL! My brother was locked out of the house one night and my window was the only one not locked and when he was climbing in it woke me. I could not move, scream or anything. Glad it was just my brother. Most of the dog run ins I have experienced in the physical haven't been the tail wagging type on the most part, but with their hair standing up and growling mode, baring teeth and all. Scarey! Guest guest
This sounds like one of the big devouring dog dreams that has told us about. The idea would be to offer to let him eat you, but perhaps you weren't ready to let go yet. I had a lot of yucky dreams before I was able to surrender to the alien. Maybe next time you will go lucid and can make the decision to surrender. Sarita , "Claudia" <newtfoodbowl wrote:>> It's good to read everyone's Shaktipat experiences. Guest guest
Yes! This sounds exactly right! The house wasn't my life, but me. Funny too, because the house was elaborate and beautiful but the foundation was bad. The whole thing had to be demolished and the re-built from the ground up. Guest guest
yep, I had quite a few dog dreams at one stage, and they were often highly aggressive gigantic german shepards. If you aren't lucid, then just re-imagine the dream where you hug the dog, make friends with it and so on...in a sense making friends with the energy that is emerging into your consciousness..that process always worked for me. love Bruce , " Sarita " <sarita1969 wrote: > > > This sounds like one of the big devouring dog dreams that has > told us about.
