sounds in the head

i have read that often w/ kundalini that sounds are heard in the head...what type of sounds? it didn't really register w/ me until last night when i was laying down to sleep. i was only slightly asleep, not deep or anything when i heard a really loud boom sound. it startled me and i jumped up and thought for sure everyone heard it....hubman didn't budge and when i woke him up to see if he heard anything ofcourse he didn't. i looked out the window..thinking maybe a gun shot or something but nothing was going on. i thought ok then, maybe it's the K. this is not the first time this has happened....where i will hear really loud noises and then realize that no one else does. i originally thought maybe something was wrong w/ my head or something but maybe it's kundalini?

That can definately be Kundalini Brandy. I have heard gunshots, buzzes, loud door slamming, bees. Sometimes I think this happens when we are about to go OOB (out of body). Claudia is the expert on that though. Just know that it's normal and no, nobody else hears it! I have gone mad running around looking for the source of sounds only to find that they were all in my head, LOL.

lol yeah, i have gone through the entire house before looking at the windows checking all the kids making sure they were all ok lol i have often wondered if maybe it was a start to an obe but not sure as i've never had one.

Unusual sounds are very common to Kundalini, but it sounds more to me

like you were about to have an OBE, Brandy! I have often been in the

hypnagogic (just before you fall asleep) or the hypnapompic (before

you fully wake up) states and heard what sounded like a gunshot...but

the sound of a jet engine is more typical for me when I'm about to

have an OBE. Have you ever had an OBE?

 

You were in the hypnagogic state so I think you were on the verge of

an OBE. IMHO.

I agree with Claudia, I have had the shot in the head sound often

while in the hypnagogic state. I have had what sounded like krinkling

of plastic bags. Also, door bell ringing or knocking.

 

With my first spontaneous aware OBE I heard breaking glass and the

roar of a large cat. I thought my house was being broke into by a

lion or tiger. I got up in my astral body and went to check and see

but thought I was doing it in the physical. LOL! I don't know why I

wasn't scare. I did get scared later when I thought I had close and

locked the bedroom door and the cat had somehow found it's way into

my bedroom, anyways. The only way I knew this was astral happenings

is that when I really woke up my bedroom door was open the same as it

was when I went to bed. (I didn't know it was astral happenings at

the time though, I didn't know anything about all that.) That was

the night I first felt the electric sensations going up my back. I

was scared out of my wits for months until I came across and bought

William Buhlman's book on OBEs.

 

I think that I was so scare of the image that was created in my mind

that it was a large cat, that it took a form. I began experiencing

it's presense when not asleep and even experienced it speaking to me.

" The krinkling of plastic bags " ....wow!! What a great description of

one of those sounds, Linda! I've heard that before, too. And

sometimes instead of a jet engine sound, I hear more like a propellor

plane....and the exit from my body isn't as easy, lol. And let's not

forget the sound of people talking...or even hearing your name

yelled. Interesting how many different sounds can accompany various

spiritual states.

hi claudia

i don't think i have ever had an obe. i guess it would be something that i would definitely remember, heh? lol i have heard that when you jerk awake that that is you coming back from the astral. i'm not sure if that is true or not, but i have had that happen quite a bit. if i have astraled (is that even a word) i don't remember that either. lol i'm not even sure if traveling in the astral is the same as an obe.

Cool, yeah, the sound of people talking. I woke up one day last week

with my daughter yelling, mom! mom! mom! I jumped up and almost ran

to the door thanking she was there and something was wrong. Hehe!

Hi Brandy,

 

Astral travel and OBE are much the same, but you can have an OBE and

go other realms than just the astral. Some believe that everyone has

OBEs but are just not aware of them, just like everyone dreams, but

not everyone remembers dreaming.

Not necessarily would you remember having had an OBE!! It is not

uncommon to project unconsciously....we do it every night when we

sleep. The trick is to bring consciousness into the equation and

that's the rub.

 

Yes, jerking awake can mean that you have just returned to your body,

but it can also be caused by something that happened at the end of a

dream.

 

As an example of not remembering an OBE, when I was a little girl, my

dad told us that we were going on a picnic in a couple of weeks to a

place on a river where we had never been before. I was VERY excited

about it. When the time came and we arrived at the picnic spot, I

got out of the car and looked around and exclaimed, " This isn't a new

place...I've been here before!! " I recognized every detail of the

place, every bend in the river, the beach area, a fallen tree..

 

Looking back on that, I now believe that my excitement and

anticipation about the picnic on the river may have prompted an OBE

in which I traveled to the river spot, which I may have taken as just

a dream until we went to the river and everything was extremely

familiar...as if I had been there before.
