Guest guest
I've noticed that nearly everyone is having dreams which could be termed nightmares. Between 92-99 I had horrific nightmares that used to make me wake up sweating or having a full blown panic attack. At one time I woke from one of these drams and had an epileptic fit, the only one I have ever had. The subject of these dreams was my violent ex, what he had done to me and others and what I knew he was capable of. There were dead bodies, drugs, guns etc in these dreams. I would often wake screaming out and my whole day would be affected by them. One night I decided that when I came face to face with my ex-in the dream I would let him do whatever he had to do. Shoot me, strangle me, torture me. I did not care, I'd had enough. Whether awake or asleep my life was a nightmare. That night they stopped. Once I walked towards my tormentor instead of running away, he was no longer frightening. If he shot me I felt no pain, whatever he did had no effect on me. I had surrendered instead of fighting the most frightening thing in my life. I believe that those who are having horror dreams should just surrender each time. I can assure you that nothing harmful will happen to you. Once you face your fears they will disappear and never scare you again.
