Guest guest
On Sunday night I had said a prayer to Jesus and Shakti to help me understand the shadow self and why one should want to embrace and love it. On Monday I woke from a dream.. one of those kind I call space type dreams (it seems as if I am out in space somewhere)...talking with and understanding these being of high intelligence. It seems I know what is being discussed in these dreams and take part in the discussion even, but once I wake up my physical brain can't put it together and write it down. Sometimes I am left with a phrase at the end though. This time I was left with what sounded like, " This is eberu? aberus? I didn't quite get the last word. I looked up every spelling I could think on the net and found nothing that connected, so I just dropped it. Last night I was searching something and came across this guy's book about non-duality and was going to check the excerpt out but another book by this person pop out at me and I check that one instead. The title had something to do with The Dark Inner Child. After reading the excerpt I decided to google " dark inner child " and it took me to Jelaila Starr website www.nibiruancouncil.com. I am wondering if that being maybe had said, " this is Nibiru " . Jelaila wrote an article on the dark inner child and explained it with examples and it all became so clear to me, finally! I went to bed last night making ammends to my dark inner child and for the first time felt genuine love and exceptance for it! It felt/feels so dang good! I could not sleep all night, I was so excited, my K like it too. It felt so gleeful...to my k and me and my inner child. LOL! Here is the addy to the articles I read if anyone wants to read them: http://www.nibiruancouncil.com/html/innerchildsamearticle.html http://www.nibiruancouncil.com/html/innerchildpartnerarticle.html Linda
Guest guest
That's super Linda! I haven't gotten to finish reading the articles yet, but from what I saw they look interesting. I struggled against the thought of having a Shadow at the beginning, I think that's normal. Embracing ALL of who we are, being good to/forgiving/making amends to ourselves is really important imo. I came to the realization that to be whole I need to love all of me, even the not so good parts (which have their uses too). I'm so glad to hear about the progress you made! It took me a lot longer than it took you. Guest guest
The shadow is frequently and mistakenly identified as evil. It is not. Most of what we dump into our shadow as children comes from parts of ourselves that we were taught to suppress, such as being loud, timid, bold, shy, dirty, sexy, humble, proud, etc. For instance, it was never ok for me to express humor in my family, so I have a very serious side. But I also have all that humor in my shadow that I can call on now that I understand how it got there. The shadow is also there to protect us. In our normal life we don't need that side of it, but I'm sure all of us can imagine situations in which we would be willing to fight for our lives, or the lives of others. Frequently when we encounter the shadow in dreams, it represents the life we have chosen not to live. And so the shadow plays a huge role in how we grow up, and we do that by accepting the shadow self and allow it to become a conscious part of ourselves. The shadow also plays a huge role in how we form friendships, as it gives them depth. Friends who are comfortable with their shadows are our most intuitive friends, friends who can listen to all we need to say. The shadow becomes problematic when it is unrecognized because then we tend to project it. If we are unaware of anger in our shadow selves it is easy to project it on others so that we see them as angry, or frightening. Lastly, the shadow contains true evil, but remember that evil is still a part of us (it's all us). Hitler was a troubled man who just couldn't recognize his shadow material and projected it onto the Jews. As we could just as easily do. So could we all. The point is to recognize that evil in ourselves and choose differently. We may think that we could never be tempted to do evil things but there are way too many experiments that show how easily it is done, and to any one of us. The only protection we have against this part of the shadow is our awareness of it. And just to put the shadow into perspective, after we work through shadow issues we can begin to work on anima/animus issues which are much deeper. LOL! Guest guest
Dear Linda, this resonates with me so much, thank you for writing about your experiences. i will check the links out.It is a great feeling to accept the fullness of self without denying a part. It's all about duality , everything is needed within creation, life and death are both as beautiful and worthy as each other as within each is the seed of the other, to deny one is to deny both. The ying yang symbol sums it up perfectly, meditate on this for a while it explains alot! You really are not complete until you love your shadow, there will always be a sad part of yourself left out in the cold until it's embraced and loved. When we do this personally we do this for everyone and learn to love all in the world, the light and the dark, and then we understand unconditional love. No seperation .HUGS and LOVEelektra x x x
