Guest guest
Through out my days and nights many topics of the Kundalini that wish my fingers to write of them come to me. My head becomes enveloped in a strong field of energy that can sometimes bring what remaining hairs I have to stand out. Usually when certain informations need to be given. Sometimes I cannot remember them all. Sometimes as I strive to remain in society I am distracted from writing of them. This subject has been on my mind as of late and my thanks to Brandi for reminding me to go into it a bit. Many of us have been nurtured by a religious practice since we were a baby. Our parents took us to the temple or church kicking and screaming and sometimes cooing and chortling as the devotions were expressed and the particular divinity exalted. Some of us were given certain rights of passage and other ceremonies that greatly secured our presence in these belief systems. For most people these religious practices go on until one falls into the arms of the divine transition, death. For others, a precious few individuals, an emanation of divinity awakens with in themselves. This divine expression is called many names but for simplicity I will call it Kundalini as these expressions follow a certain pattern that corresponds to what Kundalini is known to follow. The Kundalini expression is often tied directly in to the religious or spiritual practice of the individual having it. Not always but it often is. As this occurs we dig deeper into our spiritual practice in search of the comfort and security that it has always held for us. We are sometimes driven to do this in the beginning as the Kundalini can be such a strange and somewhat fearful experience due to its strangeness. We beseech our Gods for understanding and often for intervention. Some of us are gifted by the divine with information that leads us into areas that bring us these comprehending qualities. We begin to understand and to know of the special process that has been gifted. We begin to walk in these new areas. In that walking and interaction we can sometimes forget to change our attitudes and practices to match the new landscape. This deals with not practicing the familiar rites and ceremonies of the personal spiritual practice. With Kundalini comes the topographical landscape of energy being released through thought. Energy being released through action based in thought. Energy being released through emotions and so forth. We need to understand that sometimes we cannot go back to the familiar practices. We must change or alter them to fit the new landscape. Sometimes there can be absolutely no practice of any kind. Remember that these practices are inside of the Kundalini releasing energies. Too much love, as an example, can give a person unprepared for this magnitude of energy a painful experience. I know it is hard to believe but it is true. We have to be careful about how we overload our systems based on practice patterns that can no longer be tolerated by the body. At least for a time. Philip St. Romain a person who had a Kundalini awakening due to intensive spiritual practice would write of having the sensation of knives being driven into his skull anytime he would pray. This caused him to be very careful about it and he was forced to adjust his practice in order to avoid this sensation. He wasn't being punished. Merely his body had not yet come to the point of conditioning for the magnitude of the energy that was being released by the praying. I bring this up as I often counsel people inside of an awakening experience to stop praying and to stop all manner and form of spiritual practice for a time. - Sometimes a long time. This is due to these reasons of conditioning and helping a person to make the connection to the opening of energy being tied to the expression of devotion towards the divine reverence of the spiritual practice they are engaging. This can bring on severe headaches of a migraine quality. As well as extremely painful joints and the inability to sleep and many others too many to list. We must be willing to suspend our spiritual practices in order for our physical being to become conditioned to the Kundalini. Kundalini is hard at work changing and rearranging our physical structure. It is doing this for the very reasons of the body being able to hold with out pain very strong energetic expressions. Expressions that would twist another person into severe paroxysms of pain. So please consider this when it is suggested that one stops the spiritual practice as one has known it to be. Remember that with Kundalini awakening a new spiritual practice dynamic is being born. One that encompasses the old one but adds many more facets to the gem. So please understand to stop the practice until your body catches up. Incorporate the new practice as it is revealed to you. - blessings all - chrism
Guest guest
This is perfectly what I needed. I'm going through a rough acceptance period, for some reason, after being here 9 months, still dealing with the major adjustments and letting go or rshaping my beliefs and experiences since childhood. This is my main blockage, there are others, but I believe this is the big one. Thank you for this wonderfully enlightening post, it helps to understand and reconcile things that are happening, with the Bible and my Church life. I would like to hear more about your experiences chrism, if you're willing, it helps me to understand where I'm (we all are) headed. I find it extremely, extremely helpful to hear about what to expect, or what CAN be expected. Thank you very much, Love, Bill
