Guest guest
(imho) I think that the donate page on the KAS-1 web site should only be accessed by an occasional gentle reminder post in the . It is only those who have benefited directly from chrism's assistance who will want to give anyway and all those individuals are members already - not casual surfers of the web site. I do not believe it is appropriate to have an obvious " Donate " link advertised on various pages of the web site. It seems to me to convey an unneeded commercial attitude. Already I have noticed an initial drop in posts on the group site as people become adjusted to the idea and talk of donations. Imagine how " Donate " links splattered throughout the web site will look to our thousands of visitors each month. It can well imagine many will be deterred from inquiring further or joining the . Please anyone correct me if I am wrong or if anyone has any alternative views about how this delicate issue can be initiated. Love to all, glen. btw the address is: http://kundaliniawakeningsystems1.com/donate.html , " peter.nichols " <peter wrote: > > Hey Denny, there's not a link on KAS-1. > > > , " Denny " > <dennynorton@> wrote: > > > > Dear members...A PayPal button has been placed on both this group and > > the HEALING GROUP as well as the > > http://www.kundaliniawakeningsystems1.com/ web page. Guest guest
In case its not completely clear, what I have done is create a " Donate Page " on the KAS-1 web site, but there are no links to it. The only way this page can be accessed is when a link is placed in a message posted on this group site. (as I did in the last post). This way anyone casually surfing the site will not come across the " Donate Page " by accident. , " gleno " <gleno wrote: > > (imho) I think that the donate page on the KAS-1 web site should only > be accessed by an occasional gentle reminder post in the . > It is only those who have benefited directly from chrism's assistance > who will want to give anyway and all those individuals are members > already - not casual surfers of the web site. > > I do not believe it is appropriate to have an obvious " Donate " link > advertised on various pages of the web site. Guest guest
I can see what you mean, but a donate link has never kept me personally from checking out a person's website. The only one's that bother me is those that give a hint of what they have to offer, but only paying/donating members are allowed to access those parts. Hehe! I usually advoid those types, I like knowing what I am donating to before hand, not after the fact. Guest guest
When sending by post is it necessary to send a money order or will a personal check be OK? Guest guest
That's a fair call Linda and certainly something to consider... , " Linda " <crazycats711 wrote: > > I can see what you mean, but a donate link has never kept me > personally from checking out a person's website. Guest guest
hi Gleno I think the one on the front of the site is good , it's there but not to huge. I personally don't like the wording of it. maybe a British thing ~ but I dont like love and money together. I would keep the wording simple.... paula... , " gleno " <gleno wrote: > > In case its not completely clear, what I have done is create a " Donate > Page " on the KAS-1 web site, but there are no links to it. Guest guest
I agree with Glen. Donations are something that should be handled delicately. We don't want anyone to feel left out if they can't afford to give and we also don't want people to give because they feel obligated. I don't see anything wrong with a subtle "If you would like to donate...here is how". If someone really wants to give and can't find it, they will ask. My main concern with this is appearances. There are those who have attacked and suggested he is making money hand over fist, etc. Best not to offer any ammunition as we could lose people who really need help. I know when I first came here one of the first things I did was ask "What's the catch? How is benefitting from this? Is he going to ask for money?" The regular membership knows this is not the case, but care should be taken in how we present ourselves to newbies, imo. Hugs to you Glen! Guest guest
AND MY FIRST ? was how much do I pay for this???? And I was very shocked to find there was no charge- I have a hard time with any one thinking it wrong that one charges for services or knowledge. I paid for my education - I pay for my car to be fixed- I pay for all other items - paying for my spiritual path seems a far better way to spend my $- paying for this information does not taint it at all- and no one is asking for payment from anyone who can not afford alittle - it is all a matter of perception - And I personally wish chrism would benefit from his work financially - I would like to see him in a decent house ( bigger than a bread box) - with running water - and electricity that is safe - as he has stated - when he returns to work his presence will diminish - that is the high payment we and all new members will pay - I personally prefer his presence if it means a button on a screen and a little less money in my pocket... so thank all for the input - and the efforts to make this work for all - we can agree to disagree yes???? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ " What's the catch? Guest guest
Those of us who have been here for a while know that chrism does not charge anything to help us, or for all the time he invests in helping anyone with kundalini problems, understanding spiritual issues or any of the aspects of the growing and awakening process. He gives more to us than we could possibly give to him. His gifts to us, from Shaktipat to always being available, have been free with no strings attached. Its been a labor of Love, and will continue to be that. I find that one of my responses to that kind of Love is that I'd like to know he has something to eat, and can pay his electric bill, and has gas for his truck. Sure he can work if he wants, but if he chooses not to be involved in the world in that way but would rather use his time here to focus on the spiritual awakening that is so vital in our Age, then if I can help him meet the meager needs that he has in the physical, I am glad to do it. He doesn't want anyone to feel obligated. Let it be a gift of the heart, if the heart is so moved in that way. No one has to donate, and donations will buy you no special grace or favor. No strings attached, it works both ways. To me it is another form of loving service. On the Christian path, and I'm sure on many others, a worker is honored for their work, and worthy of any pay they receive. OMG, especially in spiritual work! Especially in this Hour! The world so badly needs us to wake up and help it. is helping us to do that. What he is doing is beyond a price tag. And he serves the Kundalini. We honor the Kundalini when we take care of those that serve It. My two cents. Guest guest
Sorry Glen, I didn't go back far enough to see your first post. Imho, we don't need a donate link on our website. Just one link, maybe on this group, just so we have one available for the members to use. I don't think we need more than one. Guest guest
, I do not disagree with receiving donations. He gives of himself 24/7, nobody deserves it more! I happen to believe that gifts are meant to be shared. If it becomes a business then there is a loss of selflessness and a foray into selfishness which I feel would taint the whole experience. That's just MY opinion. A donation given freely is a lovely thing. Personally, I hope that Chrism's Paypal account and mailbox overflow with donations!
