Guest guest
The button on the main page needs to be visible not hidden- there is no shame in admitting one needs help. One of my goals is to promote the site and advertise. I am not opposed if someone just happens to have money and is all of a sudden k active and really gets into supporting the teacher and the site. How will they know there is a need if the button is hidden?? I agree with Linda in that the button does not bother me. There are many sites on the web all with a button for donations. It does not mean that one has to donate. I personally have problems with the fact that chrism does not ask for anything. I have always paid for services and usually over the amount requested. I feel if someone has a service I need then they deserve to be paid. This issue is a sticky one with chrism not really wanting to take monies yet needing some help. If we were in another country there would be no need for this button- we would be tripping over ourselves offering to the man who is guiding us- offering food/shelter/whatever. If you look on the other k sites there often is money involved. In this western society we need to live in a different manner than in the old days or as they do in other countries where teachers are found. The wealth of information that is given on this site is worth much in my opinion. And until chrism can find a means to support himself and the sites I am all for the group giving what they can. We are looking into products to promote the program- many will have problems with this but hey folks - k is free - rent/food/clothing/gas are not. And if we can find ways to support without asking for money then that is good. I will do everything and anything in my situation to help chrism. He never asks. That says volumes to me about the man. He will give til it hurts and he often does - he does not pass by a homeless person without giving what he has- he offers his time , he offers anything one needs- he models what he preaches. So I will give what I can and I encourage anyone who has abit extra to offer to your teacher from the heart- a love offering - In the end it is the giver who receives... Sorry this was long ... Guest guest
I agree that a donate button is ok to have on the site, but that speaks for itself. It should be there, but not THERE, if you know what I mean. First impressions can be last impressions with the K. The people who find us are often in great need and emotionally confused/upset and may seek elsewhere if they feel they will have to shell out money. It should be very obvious that it is an option, but not the first thing one sees. Just my nickel. Guest guest
I wanted to stay out of this conversation but I must ask you Glen to keep it hidden. Your occasional mention should suffice. It irritates me that this is a reality and I do understand the concept of giving and receiving. All donations are received gratefully. This site will continue regardless of my situation or presence. If I become involved in a job that takes away my preence here then that is as it is. Getting back to Jonathans post we live in the western societies and these societies are run with money. For me to live in this society I will earn money like everyone does here. If this robs people of personal instruction the safeties are always there. As well as those senior members who have been here for sometime. We have the smallest donation button I could find. I do not enjoy the commercial aspect as Glen as commented on and I do share his feelings about it. I also realize that for others there is a direct link between giving and being open to receive and I know this from a personal " investment " in that platform before I began to teach. I paid and was more than willing to do so. So the donation buttons are there for that kind of balancing as well. In the lineage of the ancient and contemporary Hindu this was and is an accepted form of contribution towards specific teachings. Similarly to giving a tithe or a donation to a church fund. Though the teacher is far from a western idea of God. Give if you are called to do so. There is no expectation of it. You will be treated as I treat everyone. When I am reading your situation it will come to me the same way with or without any monetary involvment. The main thing that changes will be time spent in front of the computer communicating with everyone. This is what will change as well as some aspects of the sitepat, HC's, diamond healings, etc. and of course the quarterly solstice and equinox Shaktipats which well not ever have any monetary attachments but are subject to time contraints. Its a difficult financial time for most of us. Take care of yourselves and family first and foremost. If you can contribute to these teachings in this way we are grateful. If not we are grateful for your presence regardless. You being here is the most valuable and precious aspect of this and all of the other sites. - blessings all - chrism
Guest guest
Thank you for your comment on this Chrism. It must be so embarrassing for you reading the array of comments on this issue. It would be for me. I know that most of the regular member s here will be happy to donate in one way or another. I have seen people on-line charging $200+ per individual, for the Shaktipat alone. What you give out of kindness is a gift of no comparison or price. I will be forever thankful to you. Blessings, LS P>S> Is there any title you would be happy being referred to by? Teacher, Guru, etc...? As when I try to describe to close friends what you do and your role in my awakening, I get stuck on how to address you. x , " chrism " <> wrote: > > I wanted to stay out of this conversation but I must ask you Glen to > keep it hidden.
