Guest guest
Please show me these in the Bible, I am unable to locate these verses. The closest I can come is Psalms 82:6 " I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. " and then immediately verse 7... " But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. " Hm, " fall like one of the princes " ? Satan? This is discomforting. And a compilation of Bible versions for 1 Corithians 3:16... http://bible.cc/1_corinthians/3-16.htm but not quoting yours verbatum Any help appreciated. Guest guest
Hello Bill I will have to look those up for you. What does the word " God " mean to you? If you were God what exactly would you be? What is the " Most High " and how is that different than being a God to you. Tell me this, if you would, in your own words. The discomfort I can see is that you reach for the worst case scenario from a bible quote that doesnt indicate whether a prince is good or bad. Your assumption is towards Satan. Could just as easily be Peace as in the Prince of Peace. I feel these are dynamics that you will be allowed to work on within your own self. Balances to be made. Here are some you may find comfort in from a Christian standpoint: http://www.spiritualteachers.org/bernadette_roberts.htm http://www.spiritualteachers.org/peace_pilgrim.htmblessings Bill. - chrism , Bill <astronutski wrote: > > Please show me these in the Bible,
Guest guest
Bill it isn't written in the bible like wrote it. Chrism combined two different bible verses actually. The Bible does say " ye are gods, not God with a capital letter. This was actually refering to the judges and leaders who were told they are gods, because they were God's representives, those who were divinely called to rule. That is why Jesus said that to the religious rulers who accused him of blasphemy when he told the Jewish leaders that he and the Father were one. Then they pick up stones and were going to stone him because to say he and the Father were one meant he was saying he was the Son of God, the Christ. The common people were not considered gods back then, only the rulers and leaders. People chose whether they want to be the temple of God the Creator, the temple of self, the temple of satan or whatever God they chose. Not all chose to be sons of God the Creator. That is what I understand the bible to be saying on that. When we become one with Christ, that would mean we are one with the Father as well and would be called sons of God. The Holy Spirit is who woes(calls us) to Christ and then empowers us to become. Everyone has free will to act on that call or resist and stay as they are.
