Guest guest
Ive been feeling really depressed lately which I think is due to psychadelic use giving me a picture of a depressed reality. I havent used them two years now but i was at a very tender age of fifteen when it occured. Since I don't think I can become K activated because of this, what can I do spiritually in terms of meditation and what not? The docs wanna load me up on anti depressants. I'd rather do it an alternatively if possible.
Guest guest
Depression can be caused by many conditions but there are some basic steps in managing this naturally . Exercise is a great way to ease tension and so can meditation or relaxation . Find a hobby or job that you can set goals and a find sense of fulfillment for yourself . Having a friend or family member that you can freely consult to is also a great help in managing depression . Although you seem hesitant on using drugs ,and i can understand why you or anyone could be , some are of good use and can be beneficial in a healthy recovery . blessings Chris_H
Guest guest
I would definitely suggest you not to take meds! There is always an alternative to head pills.I would suggest yoga (ashtanga). It will clear and calm your mind, make your physicallyfeel good and will make you want to eat only health food. Since I don't think I can become K activated because of this, what can I do spiritually in terms of meditation and what not? I was depressed through nearly all of my initial experiences. It was brutal, the K experience made the depression worse, but it didn't block anything from happening. I do believe though that it caused a lot of damage to my adrenal system. I was clinically depressed all of my adult life up until 5 years ago, when I took Basic, then IPI .... and I have not been depressed since. If you are curious about my experiences or the class itself, please feel free to email me. Brandi
Guest guest
Being under the legal age limit you may not have much of a choice if they choose to do drugs to you. The safeties cover the subject of depression without mentioning it by name too much. The IJ is something to consider. Exercise like Chris H mentioned. Volunteer to help others. Get active physically whether you are working out or not. Get " involved " in your life and search and find venues of participation in ways you are most interested in. Take an interest in your living of life and get away from computer screens or games or the TV. Stop eating foods that cause severe highs and lows like Red Bull or Rockstar or any of the " stay awake " concoctions one can find. These are devastating to the pancreas as well as the body in general. Back off of the sugar intake as much as you can. Really choose to make controlling decisions in how you live your life as best you can with in your circumstances. Do your best to live beyond the inflicted parameters of your current life. Do it in a safe and proactive way not by causing problems but perhaps by solving some! - lol and blessings to you! - chrism , " illplusmatic " <illplusmatic wrote: > > Ive been feeling really depressed lately
Guest guest
There are so many different reasons behind depression its all about understanding where your depression is stemming from.Is it physical depression, I.E. The body itself is depressed due to lack of care and attention, unhealthful foods, lack of oxygen and sunlight, lack of movement.or is it psychological I.E. repressed anxiety , a stored trauma or emotional memory.Everyone can benefit tremendously by adjusting their diet and getting regular fresh air and nature. Listen to uplifting music, nothing harsh or agressive. Get a good comedy and stop watching negative media. Get Vitamin C and Zinc in to your body. Saint John's Wart is also a great herb for depression instead of dr8gs.Aroma therapy, surround yourself with Vanilla or Cinnamon, Peppermint or Orange these smells uplift and warm the mind. Also, practice smiling meditation, sounds silly but it works really well, sit and smile a really big smile, feel the smile fill each part of your body, smile until your face aches, think positive things about yourself and others, notice 10 great things and think about them for the duration of the smile. Do once or twice a day, it really lifts you up.I hope this helps a little, write to me any time off list for a chat if you feel down and I will try to pick you up!!!! With some happy sunshine warm heart hugging love Love yourself, you are a giftelektra x x x
Guest guest
Definitely good advice. Remember, the mind is made up of synaptic pathways. Those pathways are organic, if you use them a lot (think a certain way, or about a certain thing) they grow and flourish, if you don't use them (don't think a certain way, or about a certain thing), then they decay, or get absorbed into another pathway. Apply this idea liberally to one's modes of thinking. Think positive more often=more able to think positive. Think negative less often=less likely to think negatively.--- On Thu, 10/30/08, Elektra Fire <elektra.fire wrote:Elektra Fire <elektra.fireRe: Re: Combating depressionTo: Date: Thursday, October 30, 2008, 11:21 PM There are so many different reasons behind depression its all about understanding where your depression is stemming from.Is it physical depression, I.E. Guest guest
Hey saw this on the k-mail page, thought it might help: " You must say " Thank You " on the grayest days. If a gray day is not one of thankfulness, the lesson has to be repeated. Not to everyone is it so. But only to those who ask to serve Me well. A great work requires a great and careful training. " --Two Listeners and to add to what Steve said, you might find it interesting to watch the documentary " What the Bleep Do We Know?! " I liked it alot and it was about these synaptic pathways, and a lot of quantum physicists were interviewed. I hope any of these helps Namaste Craig , Steve Lynch <mrcrazygonuts wrote: > > Definitely good advice. Remember, the mind is made up of synaptic pathways.
