Guest guest
Hi and All, Ever since I started to 'listen' to K regarding my dietary needs I have put on a stone (14 pounds). I am only 5ft so every pound notices and my clothes are getting tight. Maybe K wants me to be a fat blob! but I am also concerned about my weight - so is my Dr. Everything else has remained the same. 1)Am I the only one? 2)Any suggestions? 3)Should I go back to how I used to eat as I really cannot afford to put on any more weight, for health reasons? A very bloated Skydancer ;-)
Guest guest
I don't know Skydancer but i gained weight too then lost some then was stuck there until i found a new dr who switched my thyroid medication to something natural.I lose weight now and i'm eating just like before and i haven't been to the gym in a week.I think i'm not the only one who gets this urge to eat food late at night, lol.I can't eat everything and at times i like to eat different things and other times eating the same things makes me barf.I noticed today that some pants that i stopped wearing because they were tight are loose on me now.Go figure!Strange things happen.Last night my daughter told me that i have a bump on my lower back and she's the only one who sees it,lol. love, nicole , " Skydancer " <ionaskydancer wrote: > > Hi and All, > > Ever since I started to 'listen' to K regarding my dietary needs I have > put on a stone (14 pounds). Guest guest
Eat smaller quantites if you can of what you are given to eat. Not saying you are eating boatloads just looking at the simple modulations for you to consider first. Please remember that the K will also direct a person to eat nothing for periods of time as well and the fat that is given now may well be for that reason. , " Skydancer " <ionaskydancer wrote: Hi and All, >
Guest guest
I think i remember you said the k was making you crave chocolate, but how do you know it was the k and not just you craving and eating it?I would eat healthily. You came off meds right? This could lead to unhealthful cravings as a support when coming off.If I was you I'd forget every bodily cravings and just logically sit down and think of a healthy eating plan to keep yourself slim and energised as getting fat is not healthy.Much loveelektra x x x
Guest guest
maybe its the magnesium in the choc. try a nice celtic/ himalayan sea salt bath. what else is in chocolate seratonin? herbally there is 5htp to replace this. or.. There is candida to concider , this by itself will cause cravings, for bread potatoes and sugar as you have just come off of meds, meds typically cause dysbiosis in the gut,and make you have mood swings. yeast is usually the first to take advantage. Try drinking probiotics , eat brown rice, veggies and no bread. paula > Elektra Fire <elektra.fire > 2008/11/04 Tue AM 11:25:35 GMT > > Re: Kundalini -Food > > I think i remember you said the k was making you crave chocolate, but how do you know it was the k and not just you craving and eating it? > I would eat healthily. > You came off meds right? Guest guest
Thank you again Chrism, Today I decided to have fruit smoothies during the day and some home made vegetable soup in the evening. I found in the past that I can digest these best, plus I dont seem to crave anything at night like I usually do when eating solid food. I will get protein from the cheese I am still craving ;-). Guest guest
Hi Paula, I have been looking into 5htp. Do you know of any decent makes as there is so much difference in them? I'm avoiding pro-biotic, even though my sister swears by it. When I have taken it I get a 'runny tummy'. I think its the lactose, yet I can eat cheese. I only have one slice of bread a day so that can easily go. I hope this is not off topic now as it seems to affect all of us on this path. Guest guest
I think having problems with food and digestive problems are K related. The body having to adjust to the new higher evergy and frequency changes. It is important to pay attention to what your body is needing. Kids don't seem to have a problem with that, at least I didn't when I was young. I remember as a kid eating lots of some certain food for a long spell and then not wanting to eat it agian for a while. Sometimes I still get strong cravings for something, but I don't seem to be able to figure out what it is my body is craving. LOL! I can eat a meal and still feel hungry because my body didn't get what it needed. Some days I don't even eat meals, just snack a little here and there on a piece of fruit, vegetable, or a hand full of nuts..etc. Today has been one of those days. Guest guest
Going by the foods you are craving sky, potatoes, choc, cheese (it likes bread and pasta too)and your reaction to probiotics , it sounds like a yeast overgrowth due to comming off of meds. When you came off meds there are changes in the hormone levels, as your body settles to its new state of being. there is a great book called the yeast connection, I havent seen my copy for a few years , its circling glasgow , women love that book. So forget the 5htp for now you won't need it.Dilip in pitt st ,glasgow has an acidophilus by solgar that is in powder form, that is milk free its about £20.If you can't get out he'll post to you.Coconut has natural caprylic acid in it and this kills yeast. The reason why you get a runny tummy isnt beacause of the casine or the lactose it has more to do with the Herxheimer Reaction The Herxheimer Reaction - Feeling worse before feeling better A person may become worse following the administration of treatment that kills the causative organism. The Herxheimer Reaction is well recognized in the world of natural medicine or supplements and less in medical circles . The Herxheimer Reaction (die-off reaction) is a short-term (from days to a few weeks) detoxification reaction in the body. As the body detoxifies, it is not uncommon to experience flu-like symptoms including headache, joint and muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, general malaise, sweating, chills, nausea or other symptoms. This is a normal — and even healthy — reaction to the toxins that are released when large numbers of parasites, fungus, viruses, bacteria or other pathogens are being effectively killed off and the body does not eliminate the toxins quickly enough. The important thing to note is that worsening symptoms do not indicate failure of the treatment in question; in fact, usually just the opposite. The biggest problem with the Herxheimer reaction is that people stop taking the supplement or medication that is causing the reaction, and thus discontinue the very treatment that is helping to make them better. Although the experience may not make you feel particularly good, the Herxheimer Reaction is actually a sign that healing is taking place. Try to eat brown foods , brown rice , veggies, water, avoid fruit juice, sugar, pasta, potatoes, bread, buscuits, sweets, cheese. paula x , " Skydancer " <ionaskydancer wrote: > > Hi Paula, > > I have been looking into 5htp. Guest guest
I'm exactly the same Linda, some days I feel so hungry I cant seem to be full, other days I hardly eat, just nibble like a rabbit. With cravings I think its important to ask yourself, is this craving healthy? If I'm craving choclate biscuits, MacDonald Hamburger, Icecream, Cakes etc I wont eat them, if I'm craving apples, water, tea, nuts, tuna, olives etc I will eat them.Love e x x x Some days I don't even eat meals, just snack a > little here and there on a piece of fruit, vegetable, or a hand full > of nuts..etc. Today has been one of those days. > > Linda
