Guest guest
Sea change, I never would have thought our country would do this. It gives me much hope. The future now has hope and possibility. I " m getting full body rushes tonite with this. It's is interesting synchronicity for me personally. The celebration for Obama is in Chicago. Grant park. I have a scar just above my right eye I got there. The 1968 democratic convention. The scar is from a billy club. Never saw him coming because of the tear gas. Watched them beat the young lady next to me after they were done with me. We wanted to end a war. We wanted our country to actually think. I worked as a young grunt, sound work, carrying cable, for a demonstration in 1963, Washington. I didn't hear much of it, I was busy. It was a preacher from Selma, a guy named Martin. Turns out he had a " I had a dream speech " . I suspect Martin would be pleased, that at least some of us have grown up. History. Peace and best wishes to you all, you now have a new tomorrow. Guest guest
Since we are on the topic I might as well let my views be know on this.I believe nothing is going to change, that is why I did not vote. The government is basically one big business run by other businesses (huge corporations). The president, congressmen/representatives, even though they are elected by the people, cannot be anything by themselves without the support of the capitalfrom corporations/lobby groups. They are puppets of different races/colors/ nationalities of the big business. If you look at the recent history (last 50 or so years), has even one presidentstopped war, oppression of poor, oppression of people without papers, destroying the environment, pollution, nuclear weapons and the list goes on and on. So maybe this president will bring down the gas from 2.50/gallon to 2.00/gallon. WOO HOOO! But because of US's support the WTO willget more access to poor countries to import its cheap garbage causing the local poor people of that country to either starve to death or commit suicide(Example: India + many more). I really hope people (all over the world) will wake up one day and realize that the government is only useful for the 3% of the population, a.k.a the rich, to maintain control of the other 97%. Guest guest
Probably best not to go into the political arena here. Kundalini doesnt care about political affliliation or governmental trust. It cares about you and how you comport yourself inside of the challenges of the social and ecological environments that are present in your life. Let us give blessings to the people of all countries and nationalities, races and political parties. Let us all give to them the opportunity to learn from our loving and forgiving examples.- blessings all - chrism
Guest guest
Amen, although I hope for change. I know that it is difficult because things like hardware for bombers are built in every state. Stopping a war would mean that the "pork" for that area would stop and the huge flow of capital would cease causing job loss, etc. Hopefully some good will come now, universal health care may be one. Jesus didn't come to be an earthly king so we must go to the love within us and practice forgiveness and distribute kundalini outward. It can be a lovely feeling and a great place to start is now after the election and go with so many of the good feelings and turn the apprehension to the good things of this vast universe. Hopefully Peace and Love.Jake--- On Wed, 11/5/08, JiNN <jinnproduction wrote:Since we are on the topic I might as well let my views be know on this.I believe nothing is going to change, that is why I did not vote. Guest guest
For you youn (S. Cooke)I was born by a river in a little tent,And just like this river, I've been running ever since. It's been a too long, too long-time a-coming,But I know a change gonna come, Oh, yes, it is.It's been too hard living,And I'm afraid to die.I don't know what's up there beyond the sky. It's been a long time a, long time a-coming,But I know, Lord I know a change gonna come, Lord.Yeah, yes.And then I went to see my brother, oh yeah.I said, "Brother, help me, please."He turned me down. And then I went, I went to see my sweet mother.I said, "Mama, Mama I'm down on my knees."It's been a too hard living,And I'm afraid to die.I don't know what's up there beyond the sky. It's been a long, long time a-coming,But I know, but I know a change gonna come.Oh, long. ger generation: Julie--- On Wed, 11/5/08, Julie <jewelport wrote: Julie <jewelportRe: Some Political thoughts Date: Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 5:42 AM Goosebumps; and the thought "Abraham, Martin, and John" will be smiling. Guest guest
Yes, and I'm so thrilled. Today just looks so much brighter to me now. It feels different and I want to jump for joy but I'm so stunned and still in disbelief I don't dare! I'll get over it and when I do I WILL jump for joy and maybe do some earthy drum playing to get out my pent up joy. I feel hope for the world today. What a story, Don! Oh wow! I think MLK and Madalyn Dunham (his Tutu) were watching him with huge smiles last night. I can imagine a party in heaven at this break-through in our culture's psyche. Some of us, anyway. It was an historic night and I had a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes more than a few times over the last 24 to 48 hrs. Love, hope and joy to all of us. From here, we move on--in a better direction, hopefully! Valarie
Guest guest
Change is always possible, as the outer world is merely an illusion, a reflection, of our inner world. If we change within (collectively) then our government will change to reflect the inner change. The outer world is the macro to our micro.Divine government arises from our collective transformation. So, it doesnt matter the illusion of big business or secret orgs behind the scenes (symbolising the ego), they can disintegrate as quickly as they arose with our collective awakening within this the illusion of Maya.Thats my viewlove elektra x x x
